There's certainly some things in there that work, including the introduction of two main female characters (Visenya and Rhaenys Targaryen) who will be really strong. I think HBO is making a mistake with Dunk & Egg btw. Great story and could make for really good television but I think the blueprint for success is dragons. There are no dragons in that story, it's gonna be a lot of talking and traveling with some duels and drama mixed in. By the time it comes out I think the audience will be too trained to expect dragons/fukkery to care about it.
