Yea, she's a dreamer. Targaryens have specific traits that separate them - purple eyes (in the books), the ability to withstand some heat, prophetic dreams, and madness that skips every other generation or so. It's how Aegon saw the White Walkers. It's how Dany had her visions in S2. In the book she sees a vision of the Red Wedding, King Robert, a hint about Jon, her child, and some other things. In the show she sees the child, the Iron Throne covered in snow, etc.

Once a war for the Iron throne breaks out, none of that matters. Jorah said as much to daenarys in GOT when he explained to her how Robert took the throne by force and not by lineage. Even if they're b*stards, if all of viserys kids die those b*stards will have the strongest claim to the throne due to their mother being Targaryen


Interestingly enough, it's said a big reason Robert Baratheon was accepted as king by the 7 kingdoms was because his grandmother was a Targaryen and house baratheon was created by aegon the conquerors b*stard brother orys baratheon.

While none of this is false, it doesn't negate the fact that if Viserys were to acknowledge Rhaenyra's adultery, he'd be lawfully and traditionally right to remove them from the line of succession.
