Good episode but the I have for the 2 scorned lames, Simpthemost Cristina and Alinecnut is taking 1st place.

Beside the time jumps, it was another episode on par with the OG GoT. Snakes and treachery at every corner.

Daemon on some Al Pacino "when I thought I was out". The 7 Gods really want him to be miserable and wreck siht and havoc everywhere he goes.

It's more than possible for all of them to be unlikable/spoiled/entitled/selfish people. Just like in real life. The only character worth anything is Lyonel Strong, and even he still produced Harwin and Larys and didn't see them for what they were.


Ain't no clean hands in this.

A common thread of this show is willfully "not seeing your children for what they are."

Viserys refuses to see that Rhaenyra is selfish and takes after her uncle. Even if she is a savvy politician.
Alicent can't see that one kid is a petulant ass hole and the other is feeble.
Otto didn't see that his daughter wasn't really built for this.
Corlys didn't see that his son was gay.
Rhaenyra doesn't see that her kids aren't idiots and know they're b*stards.
Strong didn't see that his one son was piping the Princess and another was scheming to take him out the box.
Daemon ignoring his daughter because she isn't a dragonrider yet.



The list goes on and on. Its a really interesting take considering this world is SO built on names, families and legacy. I can't wait to see how it all pans out especially as this second generation gets older.

That’s the thing- Alicent is playing the game a woman’s way- secrecy, gossiping, etc. Rhae is more forceful, in your face- in a sense, masculine. And that’s what is really turning people off. People accept brashness from men- like Daemon. People don’t like it when women operate from that same place/type of attitude and power. Basically, Rhae doesn’t “know her place”.
When all she’s knows is what she was taught by her father: her place is on the throne. So whatever she does is of no consequence as long as she lives to sit on the throne.

Huh, never thought of seeing this from that perspective

spoilers? She looks like melissandre dead ass my argument is there as to why I say it her. I never read the books on this series(currently finishing up a dance with dragons audiobook from GOT Though)

I like how they show what a healthy relationship with dragons looks like as opposed to the unhealthy relationship that Dany had, calling them her children and all that jazz.

That plus the fact that dragons are supposed to get training. And there's many more commands that you can give them besides dracarys.

Speaking of, they show that the dragons know these commands because of their training. How did Danys dragons know that dracarys meant to spit fire?

Don't they show her teaching baby Drogon that at the beginning of season 2? It is in a scene with her and Doreah.

If anything that bonded them closer to her. Think about it. Dany only rode Drogon...but she technically "commanded" all three. I'm not sure there's record of anyone doing that in Westeros.
