I'm not EVEN touching that one
I entered this thread cuz I was tagged twice, sir. This doesn't refute my point tho. The fact that your choice to enter this thread and make those antagonistic comments which directly contradicts what you've said above aside, your indifference proves my point.
Your resentment for black men shows that you're someone who doesn't understand what your own best self interest is. You'd turn a blind eye to white supremacy just to spite black men when the same system that they're using to tear Parker down is the same system used to oppress you and other black women too. Often times when white men get away with rape, the victims are black women. Systematic white supremacy says that black men usually get is guilty of rape anytime a white woman accuses even no evidence is present, while white men are never convicted of raping black women when they accuse regardless of how much evidence is present. So when you sit back and let the shyt happen to Parker claiming not to care when the system coming down on a black person that you don't care about, you're making yourself complicit with that system. This is what I mean by chess. A lot of black women don't understand the game and don't even want to learn how to play.
Anyone making this movie should be pro-black and married to a black person. The idea that a man or woman with a non-black spouse is the creater and producer of a movie that teaches black empowerment and independence is ridiculous in any way you look at it.There is a direct order in how a functioning community must be run and who must represent it and lead it. If you allow ever person of every race or background in it dilutes your message. If you are truly about building a black economy and community then black people who marry or date interracial or create biracial people cannot be the face of your community because as a group you will not be able to keep resources in the group benefitting fully black men, women and children. What you are advocating for is a colored community like they have in South Africa. This is the reason other racial groups frown on interracial dating and marriage. They are trying too keep their wealth and resources to themselves and the future generations of their people.
I don't discount that these rape allegations made it back into headlines because Nate's film is not as white-friendly as his films usually are.
It was one of my first thoughts when this news hit.
I mean, it's never been a secret, but it hasn't been nationally reported since it happened. I did question why now.
My suspicions as to why this became news, do not override the facts of Nate's actions of his own confessions. Those suspicions do not override the fact that I will never support a rapist.
I read what I could on the case, the transcripts, I read Nate's interviews and statements, I read the commentary of Nate's college friends, and I read Black opinions that span a spectrum.
And the bottom line is, I will never support a rapist.
He could be as musically talented as R Kelly, I don't support rapists.
He could be a brilliant director like Polanski, I don't support rapists.
Nate Parker could be Nat Turner himself, I don't support rapists.
That pic pisses me off so much, that was the moment the black family structure started to deteriorate.
Seriously why are certain people obsessed with trying to destroy an already found innocent man?
This is the MOST surprising part.
Gabby Union is a rape survivor.
You expect her to side with a rapist?
Think that's the point breh
This country was founded by people who raped and tortured blacks. Do you support america?
I read the article. And yeah she says that as a back-door cop-out because she's basically using the Nate Parker situation as an example of rape culture, etc. even though that clearly wasn't the case in his situation. Read between the lines. And why does she come forward with this mess now?
