He did a lot for the black community but it is taken with a grain of salt because of his wife. Advocating for the black community with a white wife causes too much confusion. It distorts the message of being pro-black and for black empowerment. The God's honest truth is that the lead advocates and foundation of the black community has to be black men married to black women.
