GA Mom Arrested for letting 10 y/o Son walk a mile by himself

Don’t really agree with the arrest here, 10 years old is like what; 5th-6th grade? Lots of us were walking to parks a mile or so away growing up

10 kinda young, as a father I ain't letting no child of mine walk around freely like that until highschool. Staying in the neighborhood until then, couple block radius

I was definitely walking that far when I was 10. Don't know how safe it is, but definitely walking that far.

They lived in the country outside the city so I don’t think there was a traditional neighborhood per se

Def don’t think it’s arrest worthy, 10-11 is middle school aged maybe a citation but arrest is a lot imo
