it wasn't a private island, but the hotels etc. were already booked for the other event that was planned, that annual boat race or whatever they mentioned.

just watched both docs on netflix and hulu...thats some fukked up shyt they did to the people...especially the people of Bahamas.....had them workin 18 hour days and never paid them....surprised they made it back home alive...

Ok, I have a question on how something like this could happen in the past 5 years? I mean there were actual websites saying this was a scam and everything wasn't ready etc. This is what the living accommodations look like with photos, video but people still booked a flight there?

On the other hand there are actual dumb bytches/brehs who think kylie Jenner is a billionaire and the only employee of her "company" :laughing:so I could see how this dumb shyt could happen though.

This documentary is really such an accurate depiction of society. You had people that were so happy to part with money for the idea of living a lifestyle without seeing any proof and you had people that were so desperate to make money that they literally sold wolf tickets.

Both the Netflix and Hulu ones were good, but I think you get a better sense of how big of a lying sack of shyt Billy is in the Hulu one. His answers to everything were pathetic, and when when he says "he'll wait" for the interviewer to prove he's lying, only for them to show half a dozen lies seconds later.....

So I watched the Hulu documentary today after the watching the Netflix one on the weekend

Am I the only one a bit confused about how they got key people in both documentaries that aren't even mentioned in the other ?

Like dikk sucking Andy or the older Milf aren't even mentioned in the Hulu one but this Grant guy who seems like a key person and probably enabled Billy further to go with the fukkery I dont think he was mentioned at all in the netflix unless I've completely forgotten. Theres like 2 entire separate teams of people on Jerry and Fyre that were mentioned that aren't acknowledged

And Im hearing that like the people that produced both docs were kinda involved in the festival anyway

Grant was in both, he had a little more air time in the Hulu one though. It was weird that in the Netflix doc they had the gay dude and the Bahamas guy who was in charge of all the labor who seemed pretty key in everything but he wasnt in the Hulu doc. But the Hulu doc had the bartender turned consultant, Delray, who wasnt in the Netflix doc. Maybe they signed exclusive contracts to a service.

The Netflix doc was a much better watch, it was a lot more entertaining and had more fukkery. The hulu doc was dry most of the time and really only did a better job of showing all of Billy's other scams. All the Netflix doc needed was Delray and there would be no reason for the Hulu doc to exist.

Billy could have been set if he just let the app cook. He didnt need to do the festival, just work the app, let it pay off the Magnesis bullshyt then phase out Magnesis.

Finally got a chance to watch this and I have to say that Billy dude is such a con artist. Ironically, I knew a dude in NYC who had a Magnises card and to be honest the perks did seem dope but just like the Fyre customers he ended up taking an L.

After looking up Billy's background though I'm not surprised. Dude went to one of those snooty prep day schools in North Jersey that I always felt uncomfortable at when my school played basketball there.

Good watch. I forgot all about this fiasco but I remember reading all about it. Dumb asses tried to throw a festival in what 3 months. No bookings, no food, no amenities. fukkin tents. Dude lucky he made out of there alive. Goes to show how easy to fool the masses through social media.

I really couldn't believe the people running that shyt made it out unscathed, especially Billy. When he got up on the table or whatever to tell the people who paid for suites to just take a tent...I'm just shocked those people didn't pull him down and drag him through the tent city.

That dude Andy King was proud of his willingness to suck dikk and "take one for the team..." How else do you explain him telling that story?
