Watched this and the Hulu one. Both had their strengths and weaknesses.

Thought the Hulu one was more in depth about who McFarland actually was as a person while Netflix did a better job telling the whole story of what went wrong with the Fyre fest.

Like most people I found the whole thing funny when it all went down on social media. But the Netflix doc did a better job at showing what happened to the local people in the Bahamas and how they got screwed over. That restaurant owner talking about how much the whole thing messed with her finances was :mjcry:

McFarland is a scumbag. Compulsive liar and a scam artist

then that POS tried to scam folks again with fake tickets

hope every day's a living hell for him in prison

It was crazy. Dude was out on bail, rep ruined and was STILL tryna scam people. Then in the Hulu doc it showed how he was still tryna finesse people even in prison :mjlol:

I went into both docs thinking he was just an inexperienced kid who got in WAY over his head. But nah, he’s a true POS. Some people lie so much that they start to believe there own lies. Scary people to deal with on any level

Oh, and I forgot about the dude who was willing to top someone off for bottled water, lmfao, the whole Fyre Fest story is so absurd it has to be true

Also interesting how both the Hulu doc and the Netflix doc we’re “compromised”

Hulu paid Billy for the interview, though to their credit they still went hard on him and didn’t try to make him sympathetic

And the Netflix doc had those Jerry media people who helped with the Fest as producers and the Hulu doc went much harder at them as far as their role in all of it.

Netflix doc was still a better overall watch though.

Out here in my damn drawls
Suck dikk for truckloads of Avian water, brehs bros :dame:

And what was the purpose of dude filming his VIPaccess email scam while out on bail :dahell:

The initial app looked promising too
The festival wasn't even needed

shyt, he had the raised capital to pay artists and influencers to promote the app like he did with the festival

And Ja was damn near begging to walk back into prison

Instead of severing ties after it was apparent that everything wasn't right, he wanted to stick around and look like a big shot
