The suicide did make the episode heavy. I can't relate to every wanting to kill myself just cuz I got roasted

I think the girl represented that one student who never wanted to do work or be engaged in class. Out of all the days to be engaged, it was the day after that kid died smh

Also the juxtapasition of the white kid talkin bout wearing the same clothes twice in a week and Earn gettin roasted is so real. It's legit #2Americas like Bomani Jones always talks about

Me and my boss (black dude) were talkin about middle school and HS days and how you had to be fresh and the clothes we were wearing. My white co-worker was like "man i just wore cargo shorts and a t-shirt". We were like nah dawg, you had to have a crisp white tee, Forces, or a clean throwback, etc

#2Americas

She's bipolar.

After first watch not really feeling this ep. All we learned was that Al had Earn’s back in high school. The suicide plot didn’t really feel realistic for the time period or demographic.

With that being said I’m sure there’s another meaning I’m missing. Was the girl in the class bipolar? I haven’t read anybody’s posts so I’m shooting from the hip.

I don't know if she was bipolar or not, I took it as showing how much difference a day makes.

Here you have 1 kid go off himself because his parents divorce and getting roasted at school, the day before ol girl was down about something at her desk... come back a day later and she's full of energy and happy.

This episode had me triggered, me and Glover are the same age (birthdays actually a few days apart) and the accuracy of this episode was on point. Only thing missing were kids huddled around reading an Eastbay magazine

Reminded me of 7th grade when I got roasted for wearing a sweater my mom bought me. I'm dark-skinned and the sweater was yellow, these two girls started saying I was too dark to be wearing that color. So they got half of homeroom walking around me in a circle and called me the sun and they were the planets orbiting :mjcry:
I didn't wear yellow for years after that until I bought a Shaq Lakers jersey, just stuck to colors like blue or gray. I hated middle school :francis:

Hope them bishes fat now with four baby daddies each :pacspit:

Speaking of Dragon Ball Z on this episode, was any of yall vhs tape traders back in middle and high school like I was with everyone at school? Everyweek kids would be trading tapes of: NBA highlights, boxing ppvs, wrestling ppvs and Dragon Ball Z tapes :mjcry:this episode really brings me back

never traded tapes but we used to print out DBZ pics and either draw or trace em and compare them:mjlol: lookin back, that shyt makes no sense but best believe you had to do it

The lesson of the episode is kids have no help from school or their families..... Watching this shyt I remember it:francis:

Earn out there scared for his reputation
Paper Boi robbing people in broad day light and everyone knows it
Devin going through real psychological stuff and committed suicide and all the kids get is 1 minute of a speech and a call home about it
The young girl got psychological issues and its "is today a good day or a bad day?"
12th graders torturing the 10/9 graders.......

shyt you had to be a survivor to become grown breh:mjcry: Then to survive as an adult is a whole other level of pain.

It’s because this i forever maintain that childhood is the most difficult part of life for the following reasons...

1. It captures human beings at their most mentally and emotionally fragile
2. It is when we have the least amount of control over anything going on around us, at home and otherwise

Really makes you understand how cats be 40, 50 years old still hurt by something that might’ve happened when they were 10.
