I loved the theory somebody had on Reddit of the relationship with the barber reflecting his relationship with Ern. That Ern is dragging him around to all this shyt and he'll eventually realize it's time to move on but he really doesn't want to.

Okay..... Wow..... I have a theory about this episode that I'm sure a lot of brehs are thinking.


Paper Boi decided he was done with Earn before the trip and pulled a bit of a Clarke County on em. He told Tracy to tag along and act a complete ass, so when Paper Boi gave him the news, the anger wouldn't be directed at him, it'd be at Tracy. Keeps hia hands clean from fighting or having to beat his cousin's ass and when it's all said and done, he knew Earn wouldn't want any part of it anymore.

That's what that final scene was, waiting for him to get up and get back into the car: Mission Accomplished

doubt this but if Paper Boi did plan things out this deeply, then he on some Walter White shyt

I respect Earn for requesting the fade. He knew he probly get knocked out, but it's a respect issue.

I don't respect them chilling with the naked pledges. Hollywood always gotta mix in some sus shyt, even tho they was willing to
go to war over getting drink thrown on them. It's like for every ounce of realness in these shows they gotta add on some gay shyt to appease these weird ass
producers out here.

For people complaining about the episodes that didn't move the storylines forward, Glover came out saying that all the episodes make sense in regards to the storyline progression. Some episodes are establishing motivations or reasons for actions occurring later in the series. So while it isn't beating us over the head moving the story from point A to point B it provides moments to look back and say their mindset changed based on the actions on one of the random throwaway episodes.

I'm interested in seeing if they tie in Teddy Perkins and the Van episodes.

Earn and Van stories brought down this season. Next season should just be Paper Boi, Darius and Tracy. Give Tracy his own episode.

Actually almost all of them did or possibly will tie things up. Everything and the end result of Earn getting fired and his ass whupped, seeds were planting up for this. I mean we damn near KNEW from last episode that Paperboi made his ultimate decision. It would appear as a singular episode but it adds depth to why he fired Earn. Even showing Earn's blatant carelessness and lack of prioritizing added up to this. Even the break-up with Van to we damn well know he's now going to try to come crawling back to her was a set up to this. All of it basically fits. The only thing that haven't really so far is Darius' Teddy episode, but I suspect somehow it will.
