A few moments were good satire, or commentary, like the women running the Ig shot booth, or the DJ (you knew it was a finesse when he stepped on the scene) or the guy who was following her around, but I thought the episode pulled too many punches, and didn't seem like as sharp as the satire, even displayed a few episodes earlier with the studio scenes, with Clark County. Not bad, just not the edginess I expected. Maybe it was needed coming of something heavy like Teddy Perkins.
I thought the couch scene was off too, and the tone was uneven and just odd. I don't quite know what the "joke" was. Maybe there wasn't one. Though, if you read it as a defense of Glover's own experiences, maybe it makes more sense.
