This, it's also partly supply and demand.

In my small country (16 million people) the entire country notices at the same time when technology is getting stale so it's easy for companies to push new innovations on us because we're pretty much all on the same page.

In the US it might be that as long as they're making a profit they don't give a shyt. Their latest technology is produced in Asia (perhaps invented in the US still) and sold in Europe/Asia. Their old shyt will still sell in the Americas/Africa. It's win-win for them.
