Album getting overrated the choruses, bars, concepts are basica Af and down right lazy on a lot of songs, i'm not hearing a Too Much Sauce or My Savages equivalent on here, but people seem to be going crazy about the album, i think thats more down to narrative cause we've heard much better from Future.

Every album does this. Even drake albums. They fly up the charts, then fall, then randomly rise again
Yep. Once the hot singles catch on.

Future last album went like double platinum. Same shyt happened. It’s normal in the streaming era.

Okay so off a solid review I been letting the excitement die down as a fan and sit to listen these few days…and give a RATIONAL review

My personal favorite 5 in order:

1. Like That
2. Type Shyt (Carti & Travis wasn’t needed)
3. Slimed In
4. Cinderella
5. Everyday Hustle

Also I saw alot of comparisons to INLY which imo was one of Future most versatile projects he released. “Love You Better”, “Wait For You”, this album ain’t close to that as far as hits & range goes. BUT I think it will have better replay value in the end due to the album theme, street hits & the samples. I also do think it’s a better overall album which is definitely a compliment cuz ATL Jacob did his thing on that.

But back to this. This album is a theme, the term “We Don’t Trust You” is a play on to the legendary Metro Boomin tag. “If Young Metro don’t trust you Ima Shoot You” coined by Future. & based on the title track of album which is also the intro Future let it be known he was willing to cut ties wit Drake behind his go to friend & producer. Future rapped probably one of his deepest verses since “My Savages” on the intro.

even including the FATD dog barking effect to let it be known how hurt he was & who he was addressing.

Even the album title is a direct shot at Drizzy which is also a play on to the album featuring artist who one could say “Doesn’t trust Drake”.

The Weeknd
Kendrick Lamar
Rick Ross

All had past fueds wit Drake in someway, this makes the Prodigy samples sprinkled throughout the album even more of a Easter Egg.

The song “Slimed In” which samples Young Thug who made the term Slime popular & also a Bestfriend of Future. The song is about a Woman being apart of the crew in order to “slime” n!ggas out. Last year on FATD Drake released a single titled “Slime You Out” which was a song about a woman doing him dirty & being grimey (slimey). The complete opposite.

Besides the disses sonically this album sounds A1 in the whip. If you wanted me to compare it to a past Future project it would be a mixture of EVOL & 56 Nights. A very dark album and heavily 36 Mafia influenced, Future is also rapping waaaay more than usual.

The worst part of the album imo is the songs “Runnin Out of Time” & “WTFYM” shyts was not needed whatsoever

Overall 8.7/10

The song run from track 1-9 was legendary. Album didn’t get bad till the last 2/3 songs.

I also think this album should ATLEAST put Future in the conversation of being a top 3 ARTIST of any era of rap. He’s 40 Years old and just dropped a #1 album & single without breaking a sweat
