There's no way you're paying anyone $15 much less $20 an hour to sweep or flip burgers down South. Or even parts of the Midwest. COL is just too low for that. On the coastal states that might be cool, but you're gonna have to deal with inflation especially rent inflation right after that.
They sure is charging rents like mufukkas is being paid as such........something has to change........nobody trying to live in BFE if they don't have to....... nothing changes when people constantly settle for lesser and when people constantly yelling them they deserve lesser

Put price caps on rent prices and tell landlords to GOFOH and stop stalling economic growth to the working and middle class.

Since they act like they don't have the ability to reign in capitalize or even the desire to.......the other common working folk need to stop begrudging other folks from getting scraps.......I will gladly have my server less worried about where the extra money coming from so my food has a chance to look like the commercials

Taking into consideration the COL in Cali that 20 equals 10 dollars an hour down south and that's a conservative estimate...pay them folks :unimpressed:

Maybe but the dollar menu turns into the 3 dollar menu going forward :manny:

the ether
The audacity of me to think that I had control of my investment - who was I to believe that intellect, time, energy, savings and sweat equity would be enough to to build a business and hopefuly leave a legacy for my family?

Who knew that all I had to do was to join a Union and want a better life? I hope that the government forgive my debt while I wait on Reparations to kick in...

lol at, "I thought it was my God-given right to profit off my capital, and you're saying the people doing the actual labor want those profits? fukk that!"

Rent inflation only occurs when housing supply is insufficient. If there is no shortage, then higher incomes by renters don't necessarily result in higher rents, since landlords still have to compete on price if they want their unit filled at all.

Normally. But if all the landlords know that all the renters got a 33% raise, there's gonna be an increase in rent.

That's why you gotta apply lethal force against landlords because they will keep millions of people in poverty and stop social mobility.

Landlords are not your enemy

Then why they raise rent prices beyond inflation? They gotten that property for cheap, or some of them gotten the property decades ago when COL was far cheaper. Over half of the existing landlords (mom and pop ones) have their property paid off or nearly paid off, and they gotten caught up at the expense of their tenants. Yes, sometimes tenants gotta unite and enforce bloody means to stop greed from being triumphant.

In Florida we have a vote to raise minimum wage in maybe 2019? I want to say it was to 15hr. I voted against it.
:snoop:
I told my Wife, if the City of Tampa wanted to raise minimum wage to 15hr, I am 100% for it. But the whole state? What about them Leesburg boys, St.Augustine, Gainesville, Ft Myers? Would their cost of living shoot up too high?

Everything is expensive everywhere to include the country. I can’t get a decent house in Macon for under 300K.

Feds should raise minimum wage to the minimum of 15hr. Small businesses will adapt and survive.
