Like the teachers/exams on in 2013, that's probably something of an overreach, holding a 20 year sentence over teachers, I get it, it's just worth mentioning

took 2 years to litigate and the lead defendant died before trial/plea

look at the YSL case, almost 18 months, you have like 12 pleas, but minor stuff and the lead guys are still doing jury selection

most court cases take some time, it's not like movies and tv, where it's a week from the murder, it could be years. But, in this instance, a defendant who WINS the presidency or is nominated, is going to face Supreme Court challenges, as to whether that can happen. Maybe it never makes it that far. Just considering.

I doubt it will go to the Supreme Court just because of the fact he appointed three justices who will more than likely recuse themselves just to dodge the heat from his rabid base.
