Insane that he thought Poeltl was worth a lotto pick and the guy can't even hit FTs and has declining athleticism, absolutely awful assessment of talent there

Exactly when you see the new breed of versatile, dynamic, athletic, multi-skilled and talented centers/bigs/3s in the league (embiid, jokic, Adebayo, wemby, sabonis, etc) you understand that Poeltl’s limited and traditional/old-fashioned game doesn’t translate in the modern NBA. Of course he is not as good as them. Poeltl is built for the early 2000s nba, not the mid 2020s one.

Declining skills and athleticism, can’t even shoot free throws, average playmaking and court vision at best, Not productive offensively, looking like a big lumberjack oaf with zero fluidity and mobility.
