I’ve heard people mention Dr B for prescriptions and you can use any pharmacy, and it’s not too difficult or expensive.

I’m not from the US but seen it mentioned a few times on Reddit

Nah. I been on fin for 4 years as a preventative measure. no sides at all. I’ve had two healthy kids in the time as well. (Although I stopped temporarily during the conception period)
Got my prescription today
My doctor prescribed it pretty easy
I asked her about side effects she mentioned ED, Dizziness, and potentially man boobs or gynecomastia long term but that stuff isn't very common

Hopefully no sides. How long before you guys saw results with finasteride minoxidil combo?

Yeah decided I’m going all in one Dutasteride.
It’s my last shot I think bar a transplant.

Been considering on/off for months and doing research watching videos etc.

Such as:

I spoke to Dr Ross about my current hair situation vs 2 years ago.
Suggested moving from Fin to Dut.

Had a consultation with another Hair Transplant surgeon on my hair loss.
Said my hair loss is aggressive and I need to incorporate Dutasteride.

Within last 2 years my hairline density is destroyed lmao:flabbynsick:

Fin is definitely effective and will stabilise at the very least for most people and even thicken up hair for others.

Glad I was on it as I’d be cooked rn.

However some of us need Dut it seems, the Dr I spoke to yesterday said he considers my hairloss aggressive.

So got 0.5mg Dut on the way to take alongside 2.5mg oral min

Wish me luck praying for no sides and some thickening.

If not I’m throwing the towel in :damn:

I should go to Dutasteride.

Also booked a consultation with another Hair Transplant surgeon on my hair loss. Who also said he would suggest giving Oral Dutasteride a go.

For those that been in this thread for a while, I switched from topical min to oral min in late 2022.
Around that time the frontal region shed though it was temporary but never came back. :flabbynsick:

Had also been on Finasteride alongside before switching to oral min.

Held on for 2 years no regrowth even after bumping OM to 5mg…Wasted time really I should’ve thrown the towel in on Fin.

Don’t get me wrong Fin is definitely effective and will stabilise at the very least for most.
And definitely slowed my hairloss progression as without it I would be completely cooked.

Dreading the potential shed but as long as my hair comes back thicker I’ll be happy, not expecting miracles.

I switched to dut, happy with my decision so far

How long you been on it?

Noticed improvements after switching?

Wish I considered switching sooner as feel would’ve been in a much better situation.
Like this time last year, I was just holding out trying to be positive smh.

Will see what happens seen Dut work miracles lmao, I’m wishing for own.

Erm well when I initially started I just Min and I saw results within like 3 months.

Just be prepared you may go through a shedding phase where it looks worse before it gets better.

Trust the process

Going on 4 months so far after being on fin for a while. Dut has stopped the slow thinning I was seeing on fin the last couple of years while also providing noticeable regrowth.

With fin it was weird cuz I was slightly thinning but also had some slight regrowth as well. I just switched cold turkey :manny:

There’s a breh on Reddit who just posted and he’s on dut, he’s got is waves back.
