FSU has been super soft on defense for at least the last 5-6 years....When Norvell gets fired in a year or two I'd like to see them bring in a defensive coach. Bring in a high high level assistant or a proven power 5 coach at a smaller school.

Hafley( my number one choice I really like what he has done at BC so far)
Aranda
Stoops(I know fsu dont love him but to me he would at least get the program back on track)
Elko
Solid list. Stoops a stabilizer but I don’t think he’ll leave the safety of win 7 and guaranteed employment in Lexington. Aranda def won’t last in Waco. Hafley would be my choice. Don’t like Elko. If I had my choice, Joe Brady and surround him with guys that can recruit tf out of the SE. Only downside is he may be a temp as I know he has NFL HC aspirations

Something clicked with this team in the 2nd half last week. Been seeing impressive drives today and the well-thrown bombs from Travis were icing on the cake. Best game from him all season.

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
Norvell is an AAC level coach. He’s a coach that relies on empty platitudes, without an ounce of real toughness or fierceness to him, and who lacks the the acumen to play the politics that you have to play in major college football. He lost Purdy because he was afraid of what would happen if he played him, and he looked good and the potential fallout with McDuffy. I 100% believe that. If MM on a leg and a half can get whole games, and drives to try to make plays — you’re telling me he couldn’t get Purdy a series or two every game? He didn’t want to for the reason stated, and Purdy saw through it. You always play with what you have. McDuffy could be a bust for all we know. Piss poor management from him and not knowing how to navigate big time football.

@Lucky_Lefty how has UT been? Just applied to one of there PhD programs today.

Cot damn I miss that hillbilly cac :mjcry:

Yes, he was looking washed his last couple of seasons but damnit I loved beating UF and UM every year. And finding good coaches is so hard give me 10 wins a season and his boring offense over that goofy shyt White Mike is running

would have been interesting to see if he could have recaptured his juice I have my doubts but he would have had a new OL coach, DC and most likely Justin Fields what could have been :mjcry:
