Smh @ yal trying to clown... Obviously not glamourous, but he's got a job... gotta start somewhere...

We all get frustrated by our jobs at times, regardless of how easy it is for the most part...

Not clowning him for where he works. Its about his attitude. He feels like he is "smarter" or "above" the people he is helping because he thinks their questions are dumb. Muthafuccka he works in toys, he is helping adults find toys for kids. So these old ass adults are supposed to know the name and how the shyt works? They are supposed to do research and compile info from the net so they can shop for some fukking toys becuz this fucc boy dont wanna be hassled by such trivial questions.

:rudy: @ this dude for thinking he shouldnt be botherd while he stocks the shelves.

Bet hes one of these young dudes who cant swing a hammer. Bet if i sent his ass into the hardware store with a list he would walk in with the :merchant:

Bet he would be quick to ask someone for help

If youre so smart, and so much better than those people you are serving. Then quit and move up the ladder to something better. If not, shut your mouth and KIM

Hate employees like this...you have an easy job. Does the pay suck? Probably, but you literally stand there and stock things for 7 hours (and get paid for 8 with the lunch break and two 15 minute breaks which I'm sure you stretch out)

I actually LOVED my job at meijer while I was in college. It was minimum wage, but all we did was BS all day :manny:

employees like what? I have no problem going the extra mile for a customer. I just get :wtb: at some of the things I get asked.

I actually enjoy helping grandparents and most older customers. I give them extra info as makes it easier for them. they get to make that grand child happy who they love.

the goofier questions tend to come from more middle aged customers for some reason or another.

you work in retail and not just any store a walmart shut the fukk up and do work. Nothing worse than a walmart employee with a holier than though attitude your job is not difficult. Did their questions really put you behind your workload that much. :stopitslime:

while I can hardly claim to always be happy, I don't think any customer would say that I had an holier than thou attitude.

Most of us are not clowning...he does not realize how easy it is. Wait until he gets a job with real expectations...he is in for a rude awakening if simple things like getting mad because a customer is asking questions annoy him.

Everyday it seems like I am bombarded by customers asking things that cause me to question the educational system.

I guess I'm the only one that read this part of your post.

Funny thing is the people in here are causing me to question the educational system :skip:

I've done retail as well as worked in jobs with "real expectations". I'd take the "real expectations" in a heartbeat over dealing with these type of customers.

We're not all the same. Some people LOVE working with customers while others despise it. Some people enjoy being in a cubicle while others wanna blow their brains out.

Aight I'm done :cape:

I think you are reading into what I am saying that which isn't there. I don't have problems with people asking questions. that's how you get what you want. it's WHAT I am sometimes asked which sometimes has me :ohlawd:

So what is your problem. You do have a holier than thou attitude tho. You cant believe people have the nerve to work into your store and not know what something is, or what its called. You thinking to your self "how do they not know what ____ is :lolbron:. they are so stupid. You seem botherd that people would rather ask you about something or where to find it, before searching the answer out first.

You a typical kid with no work experience who thinks he is so much better and above the "average person". Yet your ass is still working at the toy desk at walmart. Cant stand kids like you.

What exactly is a goofy question? I know damn well if i walk in that bytch and dont see exactly what im looking for in front of my face and i see your happy ass walk by im gon be like "hey where the _____ at".

fukk outta here @ thinking im gonna walk around and look for it for 10 mins instead of just asking you to show me.

No time of the year is as frustrating as the christmas season. Everyday it seems like I am bombarded by customers asking things that cause me to question the educational system.

the fact u sell toys for a living wasnt enough reason to question the educational system?

don't be mad, UPS is hiring

do you realize that if a customer doesn't know what a given item is it is difficult to get them what they need? I will readily admit to being frustrated when I can't send a customer away happy.

you mentioned about not seeing what you were looking for. Keep in mind when I say not knowing what something is, I mean more than just not knowing the name. if a customer knows what type of toy it is, who makes it(as in fisher price, leap pad, mattel, HW, etc), what it does ( as in flip, spin, turn, punch) or what it looks like then it can be found. without that info then how do I help the customer?

Thats the business you work, you need to figure that shyt out. That is your job. You should know what products you carry, what the hot items are, and you should be able to figure out based off a description what people are talking about based on your product knowledge. Still sometiems even tho, you wont be able to help them, or they will swear to you that its not the item they wanted, even if you know 100% it is. As i said, i worked in video games at toys r us when i was young. I know first hand what its like. I remember when people would come in on tuesday talmin about "i need that new hot release that came out today" . Id look at them like :youngsabo: I got you son we got boxes of this new hotness. Id grab it for them, bring it up to register and people would swear to me this isnt the same game they saw on tv or its not what their kids told em. Thats when you tell em, thats all we got mayne. Then they would say again, no thats not it. Id just say sorry man,we dont have what you want then.

Then theyd come back later like :to: you got any more of that game left, my kid said that was it.

Good times
