I think LA has the most black players in the league with Lee, Thomas and Byfield. I know Anaheim & Chicago also have at least 4-5 brehs in their system too shout out to them

Yikes KeAndre Miller just had a nasty turnover and Dallas ties it with 2 min left in the 4th. They’re really about to be calling for his head

Knies and Rielly have really gotten hot over the last week. Both of those guys were getting a lot of negative attention for their play, and they stepped up.

No team needs a superstar more than the Habs. They've been such a boring, blah team since their Cup in '93.

Their jerseys and logo, while simple, are one of my favorites in all of sports.
Their last 50-goal man was Stephane richer in 1989-90
Their last 40 goal scorer was Vincent damphousse in 1993-94
Their last forward with a 100 point season was mats naslund back in 1985-86

Their last forward who won the art Ross trophy award ( awarded every year to the forward with the highest point totals in the season ) was superstar goalscoring winger guy Lafleur in 1977-78

No habs forward ever won the rocket Richard right award (awarded every year to the forward who scored the most goals in the season ). The rocket Richard trophy award was only created in the 1998-1999 season though.

Last forward who won the frank b. selke trophy award( awarded every year to the best defensive minded forward in the league in the season ) was guy Carbonneau back in 1991-92.

Last Habs player who won the Hart trophy (MVP) was goaltender Jose Theodore in 2001-02,

he also won the Vézina trophy (best goalie) that same year. Vezina Trophy award winners at hockeydb.com

Last goaltender who won the Vézina trophy was Carey price in 2014-15.

Last defenseman who won the Norris trophy ( best defenseman in the league) was PK Subban back in the lockout half-season of 2013.

Last Habs coach to win the jack Adams trophy ( nhl’s coach of the year ) was pat burns in 1988-89, in his first ever season as a nhl head coach

No Habs GM/executive has ever won the jim Gregory trophy(manager of the year)

Since 1997-98 and now, The best Habs forward with the highest offensive production was an aging alexei Kovalev( who had a revival/renaissance type of season in his mid 30s)He produced 84 points- scored 35 goals and had 49 assists.

We are starving for stars :mjcry: Our scouting and drafting has been a complete joke since the last cup. I could go on forever with all the dumb picks we made.

In 1995, with 8th overall pick we drafted some guy with concussion problems named Terry Ryan(8 career NHL games, 0points), 3 picks later Dallas drafted Jarome Iginla :beli:
In 1997 with the 11th overall pick we picked some bum named Jason Ward, Ottawa took Marian Hossa with the next pick. :snoop:

In the famous 2003 draft that produced so many stars, we picked Andrei Kost*tsyn 10th overall, ahead of Jeff Carter, Zach Parise, Ryan Getzlaf, and Brent Burns. Those guys went on to have great careers and Kost*tsyn was out of the league at 27 years old. :snoop: With the 40th pick in that same draft, we picked another bum named Cory Urquart, 5 picks later Boston drafted French Canadian superstar Patrice Bergeron. :why:

In 2012, we drafted future racist scumbag Alex Galchenyuk 3rd overall, Toronto drafted Morgan Rielly 2 picks later. :unimpressed:

In 2018, we drafted Jesperi Kotkaniemi 3rd overall, Ottawa picked Brady Tkachuk with the next pick. :francis:

Not to mention some of the franchise destroying trades we've made; John Leclair and Eric Desjardins for Mark Recchi, the Patrick Roy trade, Ryan McDonagh for Scott Gomez and his albatross contract, and Mikhail Sergachev for Jonathan Drouin.

This franchise been :flabbynsick: since the 70s. Without Patrick Roy, we'd be in a 46 year Cup drought.

Hopefully Lane Hutson can bring home the Calder this year.

Gonna be tough with Celibrini & Michkov

We coulda had Hutson and Michkov gunning for the Calder this year. We were expected to pick Mitchkov, but Hughes took defenceman David Reinbacher instead. Hopefully we don't regret this. :francis:

Hope y’all make the playoff this year. Going to a game in Montreal is my biggest sports wish.

If Hutson keeps performing like he did against Vancouver he’s easily the winner
