those guys get good follow through.

PvZGZtk.gif

The thing is he threw like 5 hooks/punches in that combination and they all had the same nyquil behind em, that one landed right on the temple tho. Like Paulie mentioned it he made the adjustment to place it in front of the glove.
:whew:

Great card

Tank and Charlo did what I expected them to do which were early rd KOs. Receipts are in the podcast

Broner vs Vargas was a pretty good scrap. Much better than the Granados fight which was a lil too rough sometimes, but the fight wasn't better than the Taylor fight.

I picked Broner by UD and I think the draw was the best call. Broner started off too late. He didn't start getting comfortable with his offense until the 4th. I thought he won 2 rds from the 1st of the fight and won at least 4-5 rds in the 2nd half. He damn near gave up the 12th rd. :snoop: He made the fight closer than it should have been, but it was obvious he was the better talent or more skilled of the two.

Vargas was putting hands on Broner tho. I thought he landed cleaner and more often than Mikey did. He was outworking Broner for majority of the 1st half and kept some of the late rds competitive. He got tired though and began star gazing when AB got busy and was eating some of the cleanest left hooks and counter rights I've seen in a minute. Dude would just get worked for stretches at a time before firing back his jab.

I think both guys kinda neutralized each other to an extent. Both kinda freeze when their opponent's get off, but Vargas reflexes are worst so he gets hit cleaner and he rarely counters while AB will.

Broner needed to get it going a round earlier, but as it stands he saved his career.....barely. :obama:

so its still #AboutBillions. :ohlawd:

Thank God the Figgy fight fell through. :blessed:

I've not done much research on the WBC Interim championship that Jermall Charlo won. Does the WBC Interim championship have any weight?

depends...
If it's dealt out when the champion has a long term injury it can mean something

if that's not the case then it's usually a "keep everybody happy" gesture...
WBC is in good terms with Haymon and don't want to change that but they need that Canelo vs GGG money. So while Charlo has to wait for that shot they give him not only the mandatory spot but also a belt from generosity... Pretty much that's how I imagine this.

Charlo might get a shot first through the IBF though, he is ranked number 3 by the IBF... If Golovkin gets stripped and Jacobs ends up fighting BJS then Charlo can go for the IBF belt with Derevyanchenko

man, Broner aint shyt. Cunningham didnt even make a difference. he still has the same problem. not moving his hands. Zab was an underachiever to a degree, Broner is no where as good as Zab was.

going in to the fight, I have nver been impressed with Vargas. I just dont think he is that good. still dont. I said if Broner loses, he needs to consider hanging them up. well, he didnt lose, but he damn sure didnt win.

in the 12th round, I told my wife he MUST win this round to win and Cunningham told him to act like he needed a knockout and he went out and did absolutely jack shyt. was he afraid of Vargas punching power? :mjlol:

then he always acts ignorant in the post-fight. acting like he won. he didnt do shyt except for the 2 or 3 rounds he let his hands go. he was lucky he got the draw.
