Great card
Tank and Charlo did what I expected them to do which were early rd KOs. Receipts are in the podcast
Broner vs Vargas was a pretty good scrap. Much better than the Granados fight which was a lil too rough sometimes, but the fight wasn't better than the Taylor fight.
I picked Broner by UD and I think the draw was the best call. Broner started off too late. He didn't start getting comfortable with his offense until the 4th. I thought he won 2 rds from the 1st of the fight and won at least 4-5 rds in the 2nd half. He damn near gave up the 12th rd.
He made the fight closer than it should have been, but it was obvious he was the better talent or more skilled of the two.
Vargas was putting hands on Broner tho. I thought he landed cleaner and more often than Mikey did. He was outworking Broner for majority of the 1st half and kept some of the late rds competitive. He got tired though and began star gazing when AB got busy and was eating some of the cleanest left hooks and counter rights I've seen in a minute. Dude would just get worked for stretches at a time before firing back his jab.
I think both guys kinda neutralized each other to an extent. Both kinda freeze when their opponent's get off, but Vargas reflexes are worst so he gets hit cleaner and he rarely counters while AB will.
Broner needed to get it going a round earlier, but as it stands he saved his career.....barely.
so its still #AboutBillions.
Thank God the Figgy fight fell through.
