Getting a superstar who hasn't even entered his prime yet for a guy who is at the end of it is a no brainer. These guys forget what Luka has done in playoffs by himself, he's a guy that is coming off the finals. It's much easier to find defense than find a guy like Luka

I like Luka, and I would be happy to have him if we didn't literally give up our only decent big man and our starting shooting guard to do it.

Unless there is another big move for a C in store, i don't know man... I can't say I like this move

AD has definitely been healthy in recent years, probably why Mavs were comfortable but again, he is turning 32 while Luka is turning 26. It's that simple. Most analyst would put Luka over AD in player rankings, you are getting a 6 year younger player. Lakers will have good cap space, etc. Lakers can also do short term deals and take on bad contracts to get picks.

But see now you're talking about not even sniffing contending for a long ass time.

Lakers can go right back to contending if Pelinka makes smart moves. Mavs roster last year wasn't that strong either but their GM made great small moves to get them the guys and they made a push from 7th seed before deadline to finals. Rob can do something similar but it will be a tough task.
