Damn I wish AD would’ve knew beforehand :francis:.

I’ll always appreciate his first year here. But we can’t risk ending up like we did the years after Kobe got hurt.

:whoa: I feel like I'm being characterized as not thinking Luka is an all-time great player.

My point is that AD is a perfect fit for the Lakers as currently constructed and that we only needed to make a move for a center to contend this year, which, by all accounts, Pelinka was trying to do with all the reports of him trying to get Kessler

Now, we are much worse defensively, after losing two great team defenders and probably the best defender in the NBA who was ALSO giving you 25.

Scoring is not our issue. We just hung 120 points on the third seed in the East.

Luka doesn't solve a need, he creates them
Lakers weren't winning shyt this season with AD, no matter what moves they made to placate his worries of playing center. To be perfectly honest, he's a p*ssy for even putting that shyt out there. I can completely understand wanting to make moves to improve the team, but his ass was crying all because he doesn't wanna deal with Jokic.

And who gives a fukk if the Lakers are much worse defensively now, when they've just set up their franchise going forward with a generational centerpiece, in his prime. They don't even have to worry about growing pains or development issues with Luka. They're ready-made to contend whenever they can get the pieces, whether that's this season or next. I don't know how they did it, but they just went from being at one end of the aging spectrum to now being a franchise with one of the brightest futures, in a blink of an eye.

To be a fan of any other Western Conference team (other than OKC and SA), gotta be hella painful right now.

It's for the best that AD didnt know (at least for the Lakers), otherwise, it would've run the risk of other teams catching wind and offering far greater packages. Ownership aside, Pelinka would've made damn sure not a soul knew about this beforehand.

Y'all only gave up AD, Christie and one 1st rounder.

Unfathomable.

Yeah, this is a move to set themselves for the future to continue generating big money even after Bron's retirement. And Bron could teach him some diet things while he still there, if weight was such a big concern.... Can't ask for a better mentor at that.

All Mavs forums are going crazy right now lol
