He's not going there lol, if he was willing to it would have happened a while back. LeBron is retiring in the next 2 years, he's not chasing elsewhere
Back then Lakers were asking a lot - now they are set for the next 10 years so they dont need that much from a bron trade
He already got a ring with cleveland so its not really a new team
Lebron on that cavs team would be his easiest title ever

Not saying anything was guaranteed. That's why I said "contending".

The future is also not guaranteed.

We just gave up two starters that both play defense for one that doesn't (and won't ever).

I don't like giving up Davis, especially when we have literally been hurting for a big, with AD even saying he wanted a big.

It's Luka Doncic man, I think you are underrating him and focusing on the negatives, yes he cant defend for shyt but this guy is one of the best offensive players in league history and you are getting him at age 26 while AD is about to turn 33.

After LeBron, Lakers were looking at a 8 and below seed, now they get an all time young guy and build around him. It's a tough trade to make, in middle of the year but Mavs came calling and you couldn't say no.

This trade will hurt short term, but is an excellent long term move.

I feel like if someone doesn't think the lakers should have made this trade, there's nothing they'll ever be happy with the lakers doing

He isn't leaving the LA life and his wife and kids to go ring chasing. The only place I can see is Warriors because its close to home and he and Steph would be a big moment.

I keep seeing y'all talking about the long term.

Remind me, what picks do we have to build with for the next 10 years?

Oh that's right, we have none because we've been using them all for win-now mode, and just used a first round pick in this trade, so we only have the 2027.

I sure hope there is a 17-year old demon waiting in the wings, or else this is going to look real fukking stupid in a few years:francis:

They don't need picks, they have Luka in Los Angeles, players will line up to play with that.

This is a 26 year old guy, even if it was Tatum, Shai, etc, you would make this trade. AD is turning 32* with injury history.

Don't worry, Wemby will be a Laker in a few years. Once Pop retires he'll be asking out. Luka and Wemby will be :blessed:
