I still can't believe this happened. They just got a 25 year old who just took his team to the Finals and has made First Team All-NBA four straight years. This team ALWAYS gets someone eventually. It's unbelievable.
There has to be another move before the deadline because obviously, the center position (or power forward spot) is a massive hole right now. Hawks and Nets have guys available that fit.
Would they have enough left for Cam Johnson and Claxton? I'd say taking Claxton's contract is price enough. Hawks have wanted to move Capela forever; him and Bogi make a lot of sense.
This year was not guaranteed, Lakers punted this year to find the guy for the next 10. Fans can cry but Luka at 26 is someone you can't so no to. He's the best young player in the game, he has issues but this dude is an all time player. You figure out everything else later.So, we lose our defensive anchor, our starting center, a guy that was putting up 26/12, and ruin our chemistry with another ball dominant guard that (checks notes) doesn't play defense, is currently hurt, and basically does everything LeBron already does...
