Ah I don't think so. Mixed race people didn't give us a boost. Blacks, where we have historically lived in the south, were always a majority. Its the political culture in America that has won us rights our cousins in South America didn't have.

The point of my post was about Blacks not having to worry about who was less mixed in the black community. You really think leaders like Frederick Douglas and Malcolm X who were pro black could be developed in South America when they all seem to care about those type of ethnic racial issues? No, I don't think so. The fact is that blacks in America as I said were a stronger group because they didn't have to lose focus on stupid racial issues.

I think we need to define some words here.

Aftican. People from Africa. A person with no white ancestors can be said to be 100% African.

Black. People with African ancestry. In America this is means any visible sign. We talk about percentages, but your percent of European doesn't "count" enough to change your category until it's enough to make you look totally white.

So you have 100% Africans and you have Black people which are 99.9% to ???% African. Even for the person that can pass as white. Let your ass show up with your obviously black grandma around other whites. You'll lose your white card real fast.

And again: the splitting hairs about percentages only leads to smart dumb niqqa convos. If there is some kind of dividing line it should be 100% African. In which case most of us (American Blacks) would be disqualified.

Nah this is a disingenuous argument and you cats know it.

Obviously, no one in the US is 100% anything....However it's not a question of whether you're "full blooded" or not, but a question of whether the majority of your ancestry is African. The 50% mark is the obvious barometer here.

Barack's daughters for example are 75% black and 25% white, meaning that the majority of their genes are of African descent. I think for all intents and purposes, his two daughters are "black" and for the sake of argument, they actually look it.

And I think it's fair to say based on observation that most black Americans are more than 50% black in various ranges. I'd venture to say that this is true for more than 90% of the black population.


On the otherhand, Halle Berry's daughter is 75% white, and 25% black....this is not the norm for most African Americans...and most African Americans are not even 50% white. Let's be honest here.

And it's ironic that Blacks in America have made more progress with their rights compared to their south american counterparts due to the fact that American culture didn't try to divide mixed people and those who had more african descent. By doing that the collective power of blacks was greater than if there was some sort of racial divide over dark skinned vs light skinned.

the point is, what % makes you fully black? 100%? if that's the case then pretty much no one in America is fully black

that one drop rule can work both ways if we were to try to alienate or exclude people with an arbitrary % of white blood, damn near every nikka in America got some white blood in em somewhere down the line...is 51% black fully black? is 51% white fully white?

this mixed narrative on AAs lineage/heritage is grossly exaggerated and i would much appreciate it if this myth would cease being repeated everytime these type ol discussions pop up..outside of a minority of mongrels whom exist throughout all the ethnic groups AAs one of the purest creeds of blacks(ethnic groups as a whole really) outside of Africa.
