With all of the music I’ve heard, and life experiences I’ve had in my 41 years, Freddie Gibbs is probably the only rapper that can still make me :picard: when I listen to the shyt he says.

And not on some Brotha Lynch, horror core, off the wall type shyt.

I think outside of ‘88-‘93 Cube, Freddie embodies that nikka that REALLY don’t give a fukk about nothing attitude better than anyone.

Who says, “God told me to sell crack so I’d have something to rap about”? :mjlol:

If you’re a nikka that always rooted for the bad guy in the movie, and really analyze that line, it’ll get your dikk hard.

You may not like it more (and I don't either) but Bandana is really streamlined and focused. It's shorter. Less features. Gibbs' flows are more versatile and polished, and Madlib uses a lot more esoteric samples because he really trusts that Gibbs can handle it.

My biggest problem with Bandana (and I usually don't care about this stuff too much) is the mixing is legitimately horrible on certain songs. Like on Cataracts and Education in places it sounds like the vocals were recorded inside a tin can and you can even hear Gibbs' chain swinging around on certain parts in the mix.

Again I like Piñata better, but that's the first time I've seen a smiley like that for anyone saying they like Bandana better.

It’s not an easy answer either way

Man I spent 20 years within walking distance of Tech N9ne's old hood and people in KC don't even believe this shyt. :mjlol:

Fred.

I was a kid when Anghellic came out, and I remember the energy around when that came out. Honestly that’s the last time I remember him having a hold on KC :russ:

I was 25 in 2001. :flabbynsick:

Honestly I don't remember anyone I personally know caring about that album. And everyone I know is from the same area.

You people are still impressed by atmospheric guitars??LOL

You people got to be playing yourselves. where were you when people were playing a better version of this shyt back in the day when hip hop was happening. Next thing you see they try to bring back na na na na's. There's no innovation of dope beats, they still stuck with the same content rap wise. Get the fukk out of here. blhahaha
