Yeah that guy seem like he got some screws loose lol but it was interesting learning about Gibbs.

Pill was such a talented rapper...but even back then I knew that signing to MMG was not a good fit. MMG was way too polished for him. I know Meek was raw also but he was more marketable and could talk that fly/rich shyt well. Wale was a weird fit but he made it work. Pill just couldn’t make it work.

Pill pretty much disappeared after It didn’t workout so maybe he lost that love for the game while Gibbs continue to thrive after his situation with Jeezy didn’t work out.

That whole blog era from the late 00’s-early 10’s was special in terms of emerging talent that was bubbling in the indie curcuit that would later become legends, household names when Hip-Hop was going through a huge transitional period.

So many rappers was supposed to carry the mantle only to fall off or never be heard of again.

Everyone knew Drake would be a big star after SFG and Cole had Nas comparisons which is laughable thinking about it now but he lived up to the hype.

Then you had KDot that was making Lil Wayne tribute tapes/Game’s lil homie come outta no where with heavy momentum and blow up becoming one of the biggest rappers of the 10’s

One rapper that should’ve become big nh was Charles Hamilton smh...way too much god given talent for him to not be a star.

Blu is another one but he didn’t care about blowing up.

I’m just blessed that I was there to witness it and I’m sure brehs around my age (I’m 29) consider it to be our golden age.

I damn sure wasn’t giving a fukk about the mainstream like that because the underground/blogs had way too much dope music

In retrospect, Pill was really the only one not getting outshined by Gibbs when they went verse for verse. Gibbs was damn near stealing the show on every feature, but not with Pill. They were neck and neck.

Pill was really hyped cause he was nice lyrically and could mix it with that trap sound. Whereas a lot of people turned their nose up at Gucci and Brick Squad, they saw Pill as an example of a skilled trap MC. His tapes are rough around the edges though, and I don't remember him having a tape that was as polished as Gibbs' midwestgangsta.

Saying a manager's "administration skills are thoroughly incompetent" is not giving someone props.

Dude said he does a lot of stuff well....except the things that make up the core of the job he has.

shyt is the definition of a back-handed compliment.

And like I said....Gibbs career went to another level after this Archie guy was out of the picture. So calling Lambo, the guy responsible for that, "incompetent"....is hating.

For this guy to be so integral to Gibb success.....you'd think Gibbs would fall flat on his face after he left. When in reality most Gibbs fans had no idea this guy existed until yesterday morning.



Let's get crazy and say this Archie guy was the sole reason "Pinata" happened.

According to him Gibbs is an emotional wreck and Lambo is incompetent.

Since "Pinata" Gibbs has toured around the world, dropped 6 albums, gotten several endorsement deals, appeared on Adult Swim, and signed a major label deal.

I'm saying for this guy to supposedly be so important he shouldn't have been so easily replaced. You'd think the wheels would fall off immediately.

I’m not saying this Archie is solely responsible. I think he’s maybe attached too much weight to the duties he carried out and as noted above, it’s all one sided but I really don’t have a dog in the fight here. It’s an interesting read and I fux with Gibbs music heavy and still will but we shouldn’t just dismiss this Archie cat as crazy. There’ll be some truth in there. The industry looks foul to me. Lord knows how that dude stuck with it so long.

Blu had/has serious substance abuse issues that's why he didn't blow up properly.
Plus some of BLU's most memorable music was created with a person he can't stand (EXILE).
Hard to make great music consistently when you hate your producer.

Even on Pinata Gibbs shouts out Lambo I've never heard him mention Archie

I’ve been mutual on Twitter with Archie and Gibbs since the early days.

They seemingly followed anyone with a blog or from Gary. I could tell there was a relationship but I couldn’t tell to what extent it went back in ‘09 ‘10. I would see Archie sub tweet Gibbs a bunch over the past few years though.
