Anyone got the original Thuggin artwork with the misspelling?
Freddy Gibbs* & Madlib - Thuggin'
Can't believe Thuggin dropped in 2011. That's hella early in Gibbs' career.
Having finally got the end of this, it is obvious there is some mental health issues at hand here, mixed in with some errors on doing business. The accusation that Lambo doesn’t actually do anything, is plausible, as is the consideration that Archie acted in a self destructive manner, as his circle and world got smaller and smaller as his health deteriorated. Contractually, Archie made some huge errors of judgment to ensure his financial stability, and that should be a lesson for anyone. He didn’t take the time out to consider he could end up with nothing if his plan had even worked. You should never put that must trust in someone. Not even if they’re your blood, in my opinion.
“That person you know” also became one of the most frustrating things to read over and over as well.
He was one hit a way for whilewiz was getting alot of love early on, even before kush n oj. blogs, sohh and ahh were all feeling him. out of everyone i knew he was gonna make it.
This is the number one thing I noticedI wouldn't say "Lambo doesn't do anything" is remotely believable
He's been the sole manager of Gibbs since they cut ties with this guy (around the time of "Pinata") and Gibbs has been on an upward trajectory pretty much nonstop. If this guy did all the work it would've been obvious when he left because Gibbs would've stagnated. As it stands he's had the best years of his entire career in recent times and even secured a major label deal, while retaining his masters. Which is unheard of in 2020.
Fred.
i don't think that's a fair assessment of what the breh's saying, he kind of ups lambo in there tooI wouldn't say "Lambo doesn't do anything" is remotely believable

i can see why the breh is so bitter and only mentioned that in passing, he's thinking lambo lied on his name and turned freddie against him but hasn't spoken out about it until he saw an article saying that he was like phil jackson. that's gotta be real bad for you, letting that bubble inside you for so long. That other guy does a lot of things well, but at least at this time, his administration skills are thoroughly incompetent.
That was sad, him and Payroll could have made some great music that could have elevated each other. On the Doughboyz Cashout incident:

Can you not argue the upward trajectory came post-Piñata? Having that album in the bag, opened up opportunities that weren’t there before.
Maybe “Lambo doesn’t do anything” is too harsh a statement but is it plausible that he is in the position he’s in, without putting in that much work? I think there’s potential in that theory.
Man what?
Saying a manager's "administration skills are thoroughly incompetent" is not giving someone props.
Dude said he does a lot of stuff well....except the things that make of the core of the job he has.
shyt is the definition of a back-handed compliment.
And like I said....Gibbs career went to another level after this Archie guy was out of the picture. So calling Lambo, the guy responsible for that, "incompetent"....is hating.
For this guy to be so integral to Gibb success.....you'd think Gibbs would fall flat on his face after he left. When in reality most Gibbs fans had no idea this guy existed until yesterday morning.
Let's get crazy and say this Archie guy was the sole reason "Pinata" happened.
According to him Gibbs is an emotional wreck and Lambo is incompetent.
Since "Pinata" Gibbs has toured around the world, dropped 6 albums, gotten several endorsement deals, appeared on Adult Swim, and signed a major label deal.
I'm saying for this guy to supposedly be so important he shouldn't have been so easily replaced. You'd think the wheels would fall off immediately.

Can definitely see your point. To the bolded? The way Gibbs acts on twitter an the jeezy situation kina confirms this. Its hard to really have an opinion cus the story is just...one sided, I'm sure there IS truth to this, but i'll never hear the other sides of the story. Plus, its a lot harder to build something than it is to maintain it, just don't be an idiot (a hard thing to do for many, i know). Your points are all credible though.
