Nah, he was dropped beforehand, and Archie actually mentions the rape charges, and also the shooting incident in NYC. He sent Gibbs texts and never heard back.

See this is another example of weirdo shyt. Who hears about somebody catching a bogus ass rape charge and think it's karma? :what:

And the shooting was because of the beef with Jim Jones. But nah, I'm sure the "universe" or God or whatever was just upset with Gibbs. :mjlol:

Dude seems like a weirdo.

Fred.

Re: Pinata

Who do you think the features are that he wasn’t feeling? I’m guessing Danny Brown and the OF cats. Don’t strike me as dudes he’d be keen to hit up for a feature in 2020. Whereas Face, Rae, Soul and BJ all make sense to me.

Also... I’m assuming whoever penned all this is NOT on good terms with Gibbs & Lambo right now, huh?

My guess is Mac Miller and a couple others from the Pinata song.:francis:

Pretty sure him and Danny are tight. Would think more Mac Miller.

I could believe maybe Gibbs was apprehensive to certain features at first but even when Piñata first dropped those guys working Gibbs didn’t really seem off to me. If you listing the weird nikkas in OF at that time, Earl (atleast at that time) and Domo were near the bottom of that list.

And he’s made songs with Danny atleast twice. They actually got really dope chemistry imo :ehh:

Mac was kinda weird though and that’s prolly my least favorite song off the album :ld:

Yeah that guy seem like he got some screws loose lol but it was interesting learning about Gibbs.

Pill was such a talented rapper...but even back then I knew that signing to MMG was not a good fit. MMG was way too polished for him. I know Meek was raw also but he was more marketable and could talk that fly/rich shyt well. Wale was a weird fit but he made it work. Pill just couldn’t make it work.

Pill pretty much disappeared after It didn’t workout so maybe he lost that love for the game while Gibbs continue to thrive after his situation with Jeezy didn’t work out.

That whole blog era from the late 00’s-early 10’s was special in terms of emerging talent that was bubbling in the indie curcuit that would later become legends, household names when Hip-Hop was going through a huge transitional period.

So many rappers was supposed to carry the mantle only to fall off or never be heard of again.

Everyone knew Drake would be a big star after SFG and Cole had Nas comparisons which is laughable thinking about it now but he lived up to the hype.

Then you had KDot that was making Lil Wayne tribute tapes/Game’s lil homie come outta no where with heavy momentum and blow up becoming one of the biggest rappers of the 10’s:wow:

One rapper that should’ve become big nh was Charles Hamilton smh...way too much god given talent for him to not be a star.

Blu is another one but he didn’t care about blowing up.

I’m just blessed that I was there to witness it and I’m sure brehs around my age (I’m 29) consider it to be our golden age.

I damn sure wasn’t giving a fukk about the mainstream like that because the underground/blogs had way too much dope music :wow:

Pill was supposed to play in the NFL but got injured. Then he became a drug dealer and then rapper. He probably got a lot of issues and regrets. I was checking for him just as hard as Gibbs after Womb 2 the Tomb dropped.
