I like the beat switch. Second beat is dope too. Not to say this is you but I think a lot of people who are tight about some of the beat changes ain't really Madlib fans like that. Go back to the Lootpack and Quas albums and you get 3 or more beat changes on one song. It's just always been his style. I love how easily Gibbs can adapt to the flips he really doesn't miss a step.

I gotta revisit Piñata and really compare these albums. I think one big difference is the samples. Piñata had more diverse samples/genres whereas Bandana is a lot more soul sample based. I wonder what direction the third album will go in?
Dunno where Gibbs will go next but I hope it's not generic trap beats. That Freddie album has some joints I like but nearly every beat sounds the same. Flip side, Shadow Of A Doubt had a lot of trap but felt diverse. I'm hoping he just flexes that major label clout and gives us some shyt Ross would do - some trap, some classic producers, some random shyt, etc lol.

Only beat switch I disliked on the whole album. Totally unnecessary, 1st Cataracts beat needs to ride out, the feel and vibe was too engrossing.
