That's just the thing, who else was he going to face :laugh: the main event scene was so thin there was nobody, it's not like it was a Rollins, Ambrose or Wyatts around then,that's why Nash came in, Triple H got in the ring and he faced Jericho who's constantly in and out, it was literally him and Cena, which makes the fact that he didn't go over any of the part timers so significant.

And I believe he got to that point of credibility by being ARGUABLY the best in the ring and on the mic at the time, I don't think Ziggler or ADR laying down for him had anything to do with that.

anyway i havent listened yet but felt compelled to comment based on some posts in here

  1. if miz can main event, then punk should have. even if he lost to taker with the belt on the line. taker could have won, then retired with the streak and belt then vacated the belt
  2. ppl said hes not on cena/brock/rock level..ok..but he was approaching cena level imo then got derailed a bit. no one can deny he had momentum..the HHH 2011 stuff started the regression of that..not sure how that can be debated
  3. ppl clowning him for ratings and buy rates..alright...but then i dont see how u cant clown dbry for it too then. his specific details on buyrates may have been slightly inaccurate but the comparison remains and its hypocritical to absolve dbry completely but shyt on punk for it
  4. if they really wanted punk to succeed he wouldve won at least once vs a part-timer. the E seemed to have a concerted effort to not have him eclipse cener..perhaps because they knew cena is less volatile and had more political pull. in terms of stocks..punks stock price was approaching cena's but cena stock offered higher dividends with a better beta #.

Daniel Bryan actually drew. Punk didnt. See how easy that is? He was becoming the ratings king on the show weekly and houseshow has suffered considerably since he went down.

I should neg you for this. Hero is an abomination. The Shield isn't half as over with him instead of Roman. Hunter made the right call.
