A breh I went to boot camp with ended up becoming a seal. I chilled with him and his seal buddies a couple of times at his house. Watching football and shyt.
They were all mad cool but…. They were dangerous. One time I came over and my breh told me to just come in when I come over. I came down the basement steps to his man cave and him and his seal brehs were down there already.
Apparently they were having a serious discussion about some dirt they did before and I half ass startled them when I popped up. Them dudes turned to me at the same time and they were all in motion. One breh picked up a pool cue and was about to throw that shyt like a javelin. The other cac had smooth threw his glass cup full of liquor in my direction and the Hispanic seal did some combat roll and was charging me

Facts. I spend a lot of time on LinkedIn and I’ve seen many guys go from SOF related roles to top business schools, consulting, etc
It’s not a ton as they are the minority, but these big companies are eating up military combat leadership experience
Might need to reword my military experience on my resume
I don't get the joke. Thats excellent training for what they do and game changer for civilians that can't handle it

Fighting space aliens or doing it for content since he has to do it in uniform?
The uniform was extra I guess but I look at this kinda shyt (workout ideas) way different than listening to his ass berate you in a cocaine fueled rant to "get off your ass" etc

Yo this is absolutely legit and why I stay away from military dudes.
And it’s more than just the special ops.
Folks who have seen combat, and served for decades…yes, their careers should be acknowledged and appreciated, but there’s something off when you get closer to many of them.
There is some wild shyt that a lot service people have witnessed, experienced or been part of.

We’re witnessing some high ranking folks…damn near crashing out real time in my fam and no one knows what to do because you can’t tell them shyt. They think they know everything because of what they’ve been through.
Shoo, I remember one of my HS friends came back from 4yrs in the army. I tried to keep in touch and send letters and email etc, but ol boy definitely came back shell shocked and like a different, more distant version of the guy we once knew.
I would be scared for my life if I were with a Seal, etc. I mean, I know the house would be safe, but I also know he could kill me and disappear, destroy evidence, make his buddies help him, etc and get away with it.
The shyt you have to go through to make it to that level

These companies love them some military dudes that been in some shyt and that bring “tough leadership” and charisma.
I had a buddy get a position just like that. He told the company to hire me (I was the one who trained him while in) and I went to the interview being myself and they were almost surprised I was black.
Started talking to me, and when they asked how much I wanted to get paid, I told them straight up.
They couldn’t do it, so I bounced. Had another job lined up that paid more in the next state anyway, and I knew they were going to try and play me.
My friend called though, I told him what it was, and he said he would call me back.
Next thing you know we are negotiating my new salary and benefits/perks over the phone. Honestly, I only took the job for him but of course, it didn’t work out. And they weren't the ones who let me go.. I left.
