I made this move with new Gen. Was a PS fan last xbox i enjoyed was 360. But now i got the series x in living room and ps5 in bedroom.

No standard version gets the upgrade You have to get the Jackie Robinson version (84.99 or 99.99) to get both/upgrade from base ps4 to ps5 version.

this really shouldn't be surprising. it was already announced the game would be multiplatform. after that it's only a question of the size of the bag M$ is willing to drop. obviously they've been doing a lot to increase the value of GamePass, so securing a game like this shouldn't be that much of a surprise

2K didn't do it either. The shyt ain't new.
My youngest son got Fifa 21 for the PS4 which came with the free upgrade to the PS5. He played on his ps4 pro then tried it on my ps5. Hasn't touched his PS4 to play it since.
Point is they gonna want the best version to play regardless.
No company is going to offer a cheaper version to upgrade for free to the better one consistently. And they put more shyt in the next gen version than the previous gen one, hence the difference in price. If you want both current and previous gen, pay more.
But if you're that dedicated to have two Playstations in the house, wouldn't you have worked on getting two PS5s?
