Was the true architect of many of the initiatives that reduced crime in the city.

This now leaves only Charles Rangel left from the crew that ran Harlem and NYC Black politics for a generation (David Dinkins, Basil Paterson, Percy Sutton and Charles Rangel).

Sadly, we do not see younger generations of our folks consolidating today power like they did.
