Condolences to his family. Heartbreaking. He seemed like a great guy and had a infectious smile.

Breh got drafted in the first round from an option run first Georgia Tech team.

Had a great career and became a champion. Family should be very proud.

For Mamma | By Demaryius Thomas

No amount of money, no amount of fame, no amount of anything in the world can replace your mother. I realized that holding it all in wasn’t good for me, and I reached out to a preacher who really helped me talk through it all. People think orphans are kids whose parents have died, but 80 percent of orphans in the world have at least one parent who is alive somewhere. There are millions of kids just like me all across the U.S., and hundreds of millions all over the world.

I talk to a lot of kids who have parents in prison, or who left them when they were young for one reason or another. I know the anger. The pain. The fear. Especially the loneliness. They just want somebody to say, “I care about you.” But that doesn’t happen enough, so they get into trouble.

As men, as athletes especially, we don’t like to talk about love. We talk about brotherhood and all that, but not love. But it’s the most important thing in a child’s life. More important than the kind of school you go to, or what neighborhood you live in, or even if you grow up around drugs and violence. If you are loved, you’ll make it out.

I choking up reading this. :to:

He fell off quicker than he should have because he stopped lifting weights which made no sense

My wife is an epileptic nurse practitioner and the things she tells me about seizures is terrifying. Some of these folks are just prisoners in their own body. She knew a couple people who died from drowning in a tub due to having a seizure while bathing. DT must have fell and hit his head with this one.
This has happened to me twice, the first fall I was cognizant of what was going on but no control. Almost like watching first person character video game. Second time I knocked myself out and luckily someone heard the fall and saved me.
As an epileptic, this one hurt. My prayers go out to his family.

And no, you stupid muthafukkas. Seizures are not always related to drug use.
Hope you have yours under control breh.

While it's happening are they cognitive but can't move? It's the same thing that scares me about sleep paralysis. The fact you can't actually move your body on command and trying to find the like link. I can't imagine drowning and not being able to get my body under control to get out
For me, I know when they're happening. It's a scary feeling, it's almost like your soul leaves your body and is possessed by something else. Heart Rate jumps up to 210bpm and all limbs go limp as blood rushes to the heart, hence why people fall so quickly and is the most dangerous part of a seizure. I now know when they're coming so I'm better prepared but those first couple times it can lead to death because you don't know the warning signs. The physical part isn't the worst part. I had a bad one once and gave me suicidal thoughts for 3 days. Like a switch went off and a little voice told me to do it. I went on medicine for them immediately after. I pray that never happens again.

Rip to the young breh.

Damn. I feel for you. Did your doctor report you so that your license would be taken away?

No, he didn't. I have a great doctor, hes young and listens to his patients. He's one of the few board certified epileptologists in the country. (if anyone is looking for one in the nj area dm and I'll give you his info)

He diagnosed me with simple complex partial seizures, which in comparison to those who get grand Mals out of no where, it's a very mild form. Since I get auras an hour or so in advance I have no trouble getting myself into bed and riding it out. If I can't ride it out and passes a certain threshold i call the ambulance and they try to get my heart rate down. Luckily the medicine I've been on has cured my seizures for now. It's incredibly expensive. Almost 2g a month but you find a way to make it work.
