To be fair Hurley "might" have been better if it wasn't for the car accident. I know he didn't do anything before the accident but it was only halfway through his rookie season or some shyt.

My point though is that NBA GM's have their career on the line, they KNEW they were drafting a midget with no athleticism, jumper, or scoring ability and still thought he could be a great player in their league. And he still lasted 4-5 seasons or something.

Danny Manning was a good player but those injuries messed him up. He had been one of the greatest NCAA players ever and was an NBA all-star but his knees couldn’t hold up.

I was still upset when the Hawks traded Dominique for him though. Nique looked like was finally on a real serious championship contender, still one of the game’s top scorers, and then he gets traded mid-season
