Is being a Mary Sue a bad thing? Or what's the backstory behind this debate?

She can fix anything even if shes never seen it before.
Shes an expert pilot even though she never flew before.
She can outmaneuver proffesional fighter pilots and do tricks.
She learned jedi mind trick in 2 seconds.
She out jedi mind battles a trained jedi.
She beat a dark jedi with no training whatsoever; I dont care if he was injured she should still have died in 2 seconds.

Ignoring all the BS about Finn I was saying in the offcial film thread the movie wasnt all that great because of this. They ruined the mystique of the jedi to make their new prize white girl look good . bytch mastered the force and beat a dark jedi all within the span of 30 min . Dudes wanna bring up Luke, who had trained with Obi Wan and Yoda, 2 of the greatest Jedi masters of all time and STILL got easily fukked up by Vader. But Rey without any training whatsoever was mind controlling stormtroopers and put the beats on Kylo . shyt was wack as fukk the more I think about it . 7/10 movie at best

They'll explain it in the later movies. I'm willing to bet Rey was trained along with Kylo Ren by Luke and she somehow got thrown on that planet and had her memory wiped. And everything she did was just muscle memory.

I have to agree with everyone else that Rey was a complete Mary Sue

Sequel might do bad depending if they keep this up with her character

And I don't wanna see Rey vs Kylo part two in the next sequel, episode 7 already ruined him being the main villain for the series by losing to Rey at the final act in his debut film.

I want a new main villain in the next movie

If I had to give this movie a letter grade I'd give it a C+. It wasn't bad or good. It's the kinda movie you eat popcorn and watch then never touch again IMO.

Rey was downloading Force powers, ship schematics, pilot lessons and basic light saber combat. My beef was the Starkiller base. This huge military base with no other ships protecting it. But hey it's not like a small ship will do the impossible again.
