Well, I guess if you like what you've been seeing this year, nobody has to be moved.

I like Monroe's performance over Smith's. (Young) big Men don't come cheap or frequent. Look how long Nazr Muhhamed has been in the league. His hands are so small. dude absolutely sucked when he played for us. Yet here he is a decade later serving a purpose. So we should trade Moose for what? To (guarantee) a playoff appearance this year? I say Naw! let things run it's course this season as far as those 3 go.

I wouldn't mind trading Smith because his performance doesn't match his contract. But with coaching, he has been effective. The Nikka been benched 3 times already this season. Smith is the odd man out. This team has a blueprint, Moose's play and Smith's contract are almost equal components. Ask Yourself which would You rather do without at this point.

Having said all of that. We need to deepen our rotation. Stuck has been nice this Year. When he plays, we win games. But the Nikka is made of Paper He's already missed 6 of 33 games. We are 14-19 give us half of those games he missed and we would be 17-19 He should have learned a thing or 2 from Tayshaun Prince about durability. Our 2nd Unit gets killed without him. I get more pissed when I see Chauncey and Bynum on the floor than I do when BJ and Smith Chuck.

We have 17 Mill in expirings. We have a few decent players in JJ, Singler... Not ready to call Datome decent. But, at least 5 different teams wanted to sign him before he chose the Pistons. I say keep the (big) 3, and try and swing some other moves.

Monroe performance doesn't match the contract he'll get this summer.

Even if it is more than Josh's it will be $ well spent. He's damn near elite in the paint and rebounding wise, But He aint worth what the Pistons can offer Him? If they gave him CV's and Stuck's expiring, I wouldn't even be mad.

Moose will turn 24 this Year. He's missed 1 game out of 3 seasons, Career he is 14 and 8. Where is the knock?

ATL to MEM
@FreshFromATL

GS wins. I'm up 4-2. 1 more and that's all your Coli Cash.

Curry 22/8/9/5 9 TO 7/15

vs

Teague 14/3/7/2 5 TO 5/13

Chris 1-0
Tony 2-0
Irving 2-1
Westbrook 3-1
Wall 3-2

Man I thought the bet was top whatever over the whole season, not head to head match ups.

:what: What team you been watching? Monroe has regressed as a rebounder. If he could get a clutch rebound we could have closed out a few more games. And his finishing at the rim this year has been subpar. Great feet but he a terrible athlete with bad hands and he's soft. Monroe's mid range shot hasn't progressed either. We already know his defense is trash.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
If I were the GM, I'd be calling the Cavs right now and trying to sell them on Smith playing the 3 to get that Bynum contract, that was a truly miserable signing and will probably set the Pistons back years. Not only because they miss the draft this year, but also because keeping him means Monroe probably goes, and no team is winning anything with Smith playing the 4.

All the talk about Monroe being bad right now, shyt, Zach Randolph was lousy on defense at one point. You don't need to be super athletic to learn proper rotations and keeping your hands up.

Stand behind Your statements, Greg is actually averaging career #s this season. He ain't clutch, but how many players are at that age? 14/9/2 ain't shabby.

Again, why on earth is anyone gonna trade for Smith and his terrible contract when EVERY team in the league passed on trading for him last year and refused to sign him as a free agent? If someome actually deals for him, Detroit is gonna have to take a poison pill contract in return. This is what teams see when they think of Smith:

They have to trade Monroe because they are stuck with Smith. Monroe has value and will net them a solid return, but they can't wait forever.

What about Dion Waiters? We already have a 5 that's part of the future of this franchise, Drummond has an impact on both ends right now, fukk Bynum and his team cancer status. I would take Waiters with the quickness though, if coached right dude could be nice with us.

he mean bynum to wave him and save on payroll--- but it would probably require other pieces to make it work anyways--

Monroe been putting up hollow numbers for the last 3 years. He doesn't impact the game enough to warrant the contract he will get. And i still believe he is a C not PF. Shouldn't take 4 years for a player to show he can close a game out.

I agree with this. The numbers suggest the team is better with a Drummond/Smith pairing vs. Drummond/Monroe too.
