Why do you constantly use stats incorporating everybody in the team and not just Smith/Jennings? We're not talking about the rest of players, we're talking about how much of a bid fit Smith/Jennings are.

because this is a team sport. and teams win games not individuals.

You can use stats to make 90% of players look better than they actually are. You have such a pigeon-hold look on the game. You don't watch shyt, because you'd never say Dre is better than Horford, Sanders played exceptionally well with Jennings etc etc if you did.

Sanders broke out while playing with Jennings. Individual stats will speak about a players ability team stats speak about a team. Look at the stats of Miami and tell me that it had nothing to do with their consecutive titles.

Outside of your team you clearly have no perspective of what goes on in the league. When it comes to Your team, You are so emotional about it that You spend a considerable amount of time in another teams thread bashing a player that gave Yall an identity when You had none.

How many times have I posted Jennings and Smith shooting percentages this season and over their careers? You've got a bad memory. You sound like a 12-year-old with these hang up stats stance you keep projecting. But-bu-bu-bu-t the stats say this ass nikka.

I don't recall any, Quote them if You can, Even still it is not the offense. You can't seem to let that go. No team that ranks 28th defensively will win consistently.

What circumstances? Once again you sound like you've never watched Smith before.

Playing the most minutes of the whole team on a back to back,Returning home for the first time, being booed etc. in a place that You used to call home. If You watch games You should know that in those situations its common for players to either "go off" or stink up the gym. It happens often.

:mindblown:

He leads the league in FG% because he only takes 9 shots a game and most of them are at the rim. ol' the game is ABC ass nikka. Honestly how stupid are you that you think leading the league on FG% with 9 shots with the majority at the rim is evidence for being better than one of the best big men in the league (Horford)?

And? Ignore the rebounds, ignore the efficiency You cant knock Josh and BJ for efficiency and then say it doesn't matter when comparing Dre And Al. I've already posted stats where their #s are very similar.

Hordford is a better shooter, post player, passer, defender - literally just about anything. Dre is no where near the player Horford is at the moment.

Only stupid ass homers would say Dre is better than Horford. Do Your research and Homework. because only stupid ass homers would take Al over Dre at this point in Their career.

:mindblown: :mindblown: :mindblown:

The fact that you think this has any relevance to any of this is mind-boggling.

and You keep posting nothing but emotion which has very little relevance to the discussion at hand.

Drummond is not better than Horford, does he have the potential to be? Of course, he has top 5 potential if he can put all his talent to use and develop his game. But right now, Al is significantly better and he's been the best center in the East so far.

I've already posted a link to stats that refute this. the Only glaring difference between the 2 is One is on a team with a winning % the other is not/

I'm not taking Horford over Hibbert. A defensive anchor > offensively skilled big

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?

Drummond's team defense has been awful this year, he doesn't communicate on that end and makes the wrong rotations a lot. You can post tons of stats, Horford scores more of his baskets on his own than Drummond, and you can run an offense through him which you can't do with Drummond right now. He's a better passer as well :ld:

Long term Drummond has the potential to be better, right now Horford is much better and that's no shame, he's one of the best bigs in the league.

Depends on what you need, the team around Hibbert is better than the team around Al. Either way, both are currently better than Drummond.

The fact that You come and here and spout about history "and what it tells You about a player while playing for a different team and system" Yet. When I speak about history it's irrelevant...

Doesn't boggle My mind though. Detroit will have it's 4th ring before the Hawks have their first. I understand Your frustration.

I can agree with this to an extent. When I Make the comparison It's not a knock on Horford by any means. I've always like his game. But the same thing You just said about Drummond can be said about Shaq.

Honestly, ya'll don't play team basketball. I was at the game tonight. Ya'll was out of position constantly. Monroe is always late on rotations, Drummond BBIQ was getting exposed all night, Jennings was doing fine but that was about it. Ya'll have no shooters and no scorers either. Ya'll need to trade Monroe for a SF. Smith isn't a SF and ya'll played the best ball when Smith was at PF and Monroe was at C.

Jennings is trash, the Pistons need to try their best to get out from under his contract ASAP. He is not a starting PG, he is a volume shooter that dominates the ball and gets assists only when the option to shoot isn't available. He is awful defensively, takes terrible shots and couldn't run an offense if his life depended on it.

It's not too early to see he will never change his game, which is low percentage long 2 pointers and volume shooting. Also, moving Monroe for an SF means you're done for the long term, no team with Smith at the PF spot is winning a title or getting past the first round. Their best bet long term is to tank, admit the Jennings signing was a mistake move him for whatever you can get and bring Smith off the bench like the Lakers did with Odom.
The biggest problem is Smith in general. At PF, too many flaws, at SF, too many flaws. There is a reason why no one really pursued him but Dumars. Monroe is a problem as well. His is smart but he is sloot footed, isn't athletic, and offensively does create his own offense at a great rate, just a solid rate. He can be a good role player like a Horace Grant or even a Buck Williams but he is not someone you can build around at all.

:whoa::whoa::whoa::whoa::whoa:

Are you forgetting that Jennings will improve his game because he got that great PG coaching from Dumars and Chauncy, I mean shyt look at what Westbrook/Paul have said about them - it must mean something significant, right? And I mean its not like he's a problem and it doesn't matter if he's shot like garbage and made dumb plays for the last FIVE seasons - this is DETROIT, all the players that come here improve their games to the elite level.
Jennings is fine, Malta doesn't like him and never has. Jennings is fine. He is the last issue on Detroit but Josh Smith is an issue because even if you move him to PF and he can anchor the offense, he still has issues in his game as does Andre which will kill them in the playoffs.

But the same thing You just said about Drummond can be said about Shaq.

He knocked his team defense and inability to run a offense through him cause he can't pass and has no moves. Are you saying that a team couldn't run an offense through Shaq? Or he needed help scoring? Really hope not. Or you should just get banned from this section.

Of course I don't like him, he's a volume shooting inefficient PG that would be better served coming off the bench. He's taking 15.8 shots per game to score 16.3ppg, all while shooting a blistering 38% from the field. In what world is that a good player?

Teague was eating Jennings lunch though, some of these defensive problems come from other PG's getting easy access to the lane. I wouldn't say he is the last issue.

He's not fine. I don't know what it is with your infatuation with Jennings, but son you gotta be realistic.Dude is out there over-dribbling, shooting 16.3 shots a game at 38%, not involving Monroe/Dre consistently and just taking stupid ass shots. Smith and Jennings are both issues. Point blank period.

because this is a team sport. and teams win games not individuals.

But that's irrelevant to the argument at hand. This all started and it all revolves around the fact that Jennings and Smith aren't the right pieces. When has this ever been about the team? You post these middle of the pack stats for your team but NOT ONCE about Jennings and Smith. If you take away Smith and Jennings FG%, the team would have a better overall percentage - now does your simple minded ass understand?

The fact that your two main players have shytty shot selections, shytty FG%, shytty decision making means your team won't do shyt. Comprende?

Sanders broke out while playing with Jennings. Individual stats will speak about a players ability team stats speak about a team. Look at the stats of Miami and tell me that it had nothing to do with their consecutive titles

No he didn't break out playing with Jennings. Do you need me to post that tweet again?

Tell me how the fukk does that sound like Sanders broke out playing with Jennings - when he criticized Jennings for not passing the ball and the STATS show he hardly ever fed him the ball. He assisted on 10% of Sanders field goals for the entire season, a PG who only assisted on 10% of his center's field goals.

Yet you're telling me he broke out playing with him? On what planet is assisting on 10% of total field goals breaking out? Tell me?

What about Jennings' and Smith's percentages? I'll wait. What about their garbage shot selection? I'll wait.

utside of your team you clearly have no perspective of what goes on in the league. When it comes to Your team, You are so emotional about it that You spend a considerable amount of time in another teams thread bashing a player that gave Yall an identity when You had none.

Who's my team? I'll wait. How many time have I told you that I don't support the Hawks? Is your reading comprehension level that low, you can't understand multiple times when I said I'm not a Hawks fan?

Does this sound like I'm a Hawks fan - http://www.thecoli.com/threads/deadhawkstans.2043/ ????????????????

:stopitslime:

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA being boooed????!!! What the fukk does that got to do with anything? You're telling me 'being booed in a place you used to call home' is an excuse for a player to be play garbage? Where do you come up with this shyt.

What? No, good-to-great players don't either go off or stink up the gym; those type of players have consistently good games and only bad games once in a while, when they face adversity the play through and beyond it. Smith has been wildly inconsistent for seasons, nothing has changed. If you put your hopes in a guy where you give the excuse of him being booed for a shytty performance you mustn't have high projections for this team.

haha... he had a shytty game because he got booed...... :dead:

And? Ignore the rebounds, ignore the efficiency You cant knock Josh and BJ for efficiency and then say it doesn't matter when comparing Dre And Al

Boy you dumb as hell. If you need telling the difference between the two comparisons you need to go back to school.
