Detroit Pistons Fans Create Petition to Make Rasheed Wallace Head Coach
If Jason Kidd can do it, so can Rasheed Wallace, right?
Shortly after the Detroit Pistons
reportedly fired former head coach Mo Cheeks, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, an
official White House petition was created to have Wallace named as the team's interim head coach, probably because this is America and you're allowed to make any kind of petition you want.
The goal? Only 100,000 signatures.
Wallace retired from the
NBA last season and was named an assistant coach for the Pistons in July, but it seems someone wants him to take a larger role. Wallace also played with the Pistons from 2004 to 2009.
We'll see if this petition can gain some steam.
