I'm done with Monroe. 21 points in first half by Blake. Embarrassing. 1-3 6 points 3 boards 3 TO horrible defense and played scared/passive offensively. No surprise Detroit went on run when they placed best defensive lineup late with drum smith kcp stuckey. Trade needs to happen ASAP or this is a lottery team.
Monroe > a healthy Blake by a long shot. Chris Paul plays better in the post than Blake does :russ: Josh Smith is a better/more skilled version of Blake if you want to go there even.

Spilled Milk. Remember Joe went into the draft with his mind set on Knight still being our PG and if I remember correctly, He still wanted to sign Calderon. I don't think the debate here should be about KCP and Burke, It should be about Knight and Burke. Having said all of that, I went into draft night wanting Trey as well. And no matter how good he is/becomes. That doesn't make Pope any less worthy of being an 8th pick. both players have pretty high ceilings. My only knock on Pope is he needs to learn to handle the ball more. He'd be elite talent if he can learn to create off the dribble.

edit*

The writing is on the wall with Stuckey. He's having a good Year when he plays. but last Year he sucked. remember dude didn't make a single shot for like the first 10 games. Then he asked to come off the bench:comeon:... So at that time last season I don't think Dumars was keen on keeping Him. I like Rodney. But every season He's gonna suck then be stellar then be hurt. I hope Joe doesn't keep him, unless It's like a Will Bynum type of contract.

Yeah we needed a Point gaurd. But we needed a shooting Guard also. Pope is Aaron Afflalo good. and the best thing to happen in his Young career was for us to have the injuries we had and him to get thrust into a starter role... Otherwise He would be like Mitchell. his #s are approaching gaudy. And that's gold for a rookie that doesn't play above the rim.
Bruh knight wasn't even the pg half of last year. Everybody knew his point guard days in Detroit was over.

I think You argue sometimes just for the sake of arguing. When Calderon left, Not only did Dumars not shop Knight, He was pefectly fine going forward with him. We wouldn't have acquired BJ if it wasn't for John Hammond reaching out to Joe. Of all the quality PGs on the market last season. There was not a single rumor of Joe taking a sniff at any of them...
