Not Voting destroys the fundamental power of the 2 parties = Influence. Once influence is taking away from them by people who say no more...their ability to sway lobbyists into giving them money would crumble. Reforming the voting system is the only way people will get who they want based off values and not a popularity contest.

anyways, if you really care, not voting is stupid. if you wanna give your vote to stein or johnson or someone, that's a fair choice. but you're only shooting yourself in the foot if you think you're taking principled stand against the establishment by not voting...or that it'd do any good for you. all you're doing is letting other people pick the president for you, without you having any say in it.
there's no sense in removing yourself from the democratic process altogether...because whether you like it or not, that process moves on without you.

My money has gone to war and conflicts around the world without consent when I voted. You didn't mention that either. No one is picking for me b/c my choice was to stay home. You assume too much without actual facts surrounding your viewpoint.
The voting still goes on if I decide to choose a third party or not to vote at all. It's the masses who have to make a choice in their decision to enjoy the rest of their lives voting for those who have been handpicked by the elite with unlimited voting campaign funds or want a voting reform.

Do you truly believe that myth? None of my ancestors died for a vote...they were killed cause they were black and the laws were legal for that to happen. The Civil Rights Movement was not about just voting...you have been lied to your whole life and sucked into this fantasy that voting was the only reason the CRM existed.
A Party without influence is nothing...both parties without influence fall into the hands of the people and not big business.
According to you neither party cares about the people now, so how would not voting remove our influence? Wouldn't the parties just latch on to the people who are still voting and continue to push their selfish agendas?
