First stop having a condescending tone towards changing your views. Start picking third, fourth, fifth parties that lean towards changing policy in America without lobbyist involved.

Since the candidates of the 2 parties are chosen for you before you choose them...you can also stop voting all together to demand reform of the whole 2 party system. Enough people to stop voting, the 2 party system will crumble and people can create their own Democrats and Repubs. Many ways of doing different things...time to do something different.

This is where the problem lies...we have allowed the 2 party system to dictate that any other party outside their 2 groups are useless and don't work when in reality...without people voting for the 2 party...they are useless. I agree with you on the ground level but you have to be wise as the Elite has made sure they have put money down those small elections as well to keep the same process going. The problem still lies that the parties are still the same at the local level as the presidential level. We have to rely on local level to stop having a party affiliations...demand it.
