Looking at what the brewers gave up..I mean technically but it would have left the farm system completely barren.

Not like the Mets have any creativity anyway though. I'd gladly give up gimenez Peterson etc anyone for yelich

We don't have the depth like straight up. We'd have to give up Rosario (which I would have been okay with) AND Peterson AND probably Szapucki AND a lottery pick and that still probably isn't enough. Just isn't enough talent, the Brewers, Stearns in particular, knew when and who to sell high on and what fliers to take on high ceiling type guys. The Mets dumped every single traded player we had for fukking salary relief and fringe RP's.

Our farm system is pretty damn dire right now.

And yeah LOL at bringing Reyes back, again. I get it TJ is out for god knows how long but Jesus Christ you couldn't find anybody to throw in the utility role other than Jose again? He's done.

I am stunned we haven't brought in a single extra starter though. I mean is Sandy serious? What are we gonna bring up Flexen from AA to get the crap beat out of him and ruin any chance he has at making it again?

You're telling me we can't take a flyer on John Lackey or Chris Tillman or something?

Sandy's inability to draft and evaluate talent is why they couldn't get McCutchen, Harrison, Yelich or a Realmuto. Hopefully, Minaya turns things around quickly because the Wilpons won't spend money on free agents.

I'm not a fan of the Mets offseason moves. Just have to hope that the health is better than it was last year.

Opening day tomorrow. I'm drinking the Kool aid again.

Stopped by the Superbook at Westgate and bet on the Mets to win it all, bet on the over of 82 games and bet on Thor winning cy young. I really need to stay away from the casinos after hitting the dispensaries
