I'm a PC gamer, but damn $700 is not an easy buy for the Sony fans. I guess if GameStop does a nice tradeup deal it could be worth it. That's what I think their banking on.

It's the advantage consoles primarily had over PC's aside from compatibility and interface. It's getting into PC cost territory now. Granted, a $700 PC won't play most games 5-6 years from now at the best settings, but the tradeoff is people like the mods for games and customizibility of PC's.

$500 is my limit for a console.

I’m buying it if it got the games. Consoles are nice because they abstract all the details away. I remember when I got a notification/email and it basically caused my game to crash one time.

Not having to deal with stuff like that is great.

That said this is simply a nice-to-have. No more, no less. People who buy this aren’t stressing after they paid $5k for a TV to run it.
