GGG needed a stay busy fight IMHO.
I don't know how he will look and how his age and having to get down in weight will play out here.
That said, Canelo is all talk about improvement. As long as he is with Reynoso he will run his own camp, fight in spurts, and fade late.
a lot easier to prepare when you know your opponent is gonna keep coming forward and you have tasted his power

ggg not having a stay busy fight will come back to hurt him

He never tasted his power cleanly and if he thinks he did and goes into the fight thinking he is going to eat GGG's right he is getting knocked out.

Iol i dont think he belives ggg has weak power. But i think he believes its managable
If he believes that he is an idiot.
Best to treat his power the same way Ward did Kovalev, respect it at all times and smoother or get off first and get out.
That said we know Canelo doesn't have the mental makeup or discipline to execute the Ward gameplan due to his being babied his whole career.

Yes he did.

GGG caught him with a shot, clean, while Canelo was on the ropes.....and Canelo just shrugged it off.

That was the biggest clean shot of the night, and Canelo didn't even move.

I thought GGG rode the punch, it wasn't like he was stationary or turning into the punch.
Just me though.
I believe we both lost our bet on that fight because of the draw.

Here's the punch:

That's a clean, flush right from GGG to Canelo's temple...Canelo just smirked at him and shook his head like "you gonna need more power than that to get me breh:smugbiden:"

GGG aint supposed to land shots like that and people eat them...don't forget he knocked out Geale with a fadeaway punch to the top of the head. Yet, he landed flush on Canelo's temple with his right hand and nothing.

He cant knock out Canelo, Canelo now knows this for a fact, and the 2nd fight is gonna be different with how Canelo fights him.

I expect to see him in the center of the ring much more and then on the ropes to steal breathers.

Canelo doesn't have the lungs to do this all night. When he does it'll be fine, but when he stops stealing breathers and starts begging for them instead it's gonna be the same shyt all over again.

I keep on saying this and no one can explain to me why it'll change. The way Canelo can win this fight involves him sustaining a high workrate for 12 rounds. He can't do it. We all know he can't. And every single moment he spends charging his batteries GGG is going to be on him.

Canelo legit can't deal with unwavering, constant pressure and GGG is the embodiment of an unwavering, cosntant pressure fighter.

That is always what this fight will come down to.

We shall see but I doubt it. Canelo only fights one way

Let's be honest. Everybody knows this fights depends on one factor and one factor only. Canelo's stamina. Cause aside from that, little g has no chance. We all seen how canelo was boxing the shyt out of him in the middle of the ring. There was a HUGE gap in skill level between them and that much was obvious. 90% of little g's success came when canelo got tired and stopped throwing. Plain and simple.

Obviously if canelo's stamina gives out again, then the fight is gonna be harder than it has to be. But I believe canelo will come in with much better energy. Yea he's had stamina issues before but this was different. After the 3rd round, it's like he just lost everything. It wasnt even gradual, he just hit a wall. And the fight wasn't even fast paced. It was looking like a typical canelo fight. The angulo fight was much more action packed. Both guys throwing upwards of 80 punches a round. There was nothing little g did in the first 3 rounds that should have sapped canelo's energy like that. Leading up to the fight there was a lot of rumors that canelo overtrained. He was training before the fight was even announced. I think he felt he had to do more since this was gonna be his biggest test. Now that he realizes little g is nothing special, I think they're gonna go back to the usual routine. I still want them to get a real conditioning coach though. Canelo with somebody like Alex ariza would be almost unbeatable. The reynoso brothers better swallow their pride and get dude a real S&C coach. Canelo will never reach his full potential without one.
