yea. I don't think it's gonna be some all out brawl. I still think canelo is gonna be slick and move when need be. but he's gonna stay in the pocket a lot more this time around where little g can't match his speed or defense. canelo is just a faster thinker in the ring. little g mainly had success when canelo had to take a breather and stopped fighting completely. I really can't blame the judges for scoring for little g even if he wasn't landing anything significant. it was canelo's own fight that fight turned out the way it did. it's gonna be a different story this time though. the 2nd fight is usually where the superior skill set reigns supreme.

When it comes to rematches, I pay attention to the last rounds of the fight.

From what I saw canelo let his hands go a lot in the later rounds but triple g landed a lot and I feel most of his success was in those rounds, watch the 11th round, canelo got hit with a left hook that looked to bring his feet off the floor. That was the biggest punch of the fight.

your stars are but dust on my shoes
The one thing I'm really curious to see is whether Golovkin will increase his work to the body. He's always set up some devastating headshots by leading with vicious hooks to the body, but I was surprised he ain't do it vs. Canelo all too much. It almost seems like a no brainer when he had nelo on the ropes, hella gassed.

If Golovkin goes to the body more manye that's gonna be a scary site.

Canelo needs to be more active and be stronger in those last 4 rounds. GGG isn't handing him that undefeated streak.

:scust: at the #NoExcuses portion of the thread title.

There was no excuse for Byrds card in the first fight. GGG won. Only excuses being thrown was from DLH trying to explain that draw.

2nd fight, I can't call it...GGG likely wins again, judges decision he won't ever get..Canelo takes it, rubber match in September

Honestly I thought the same.

Keep it 100 I didn’t think triple g looked himself, idk if it was age or the lay off from fights. It’s like his reflexes are not there anymore. He looked heavier then other fights, maybe it’s that? People say only canelo can improve from the last fight but I disagree, I think triple g can improve too, I think he can only improve from that fight... I recently saw a video by Steve Kim interviewing him, he did something I’ve been hoping triple g would do, speak in his native language so we can get some real feedback instead of big drama this and that. Triple g siad he had a bad night, and to me that made sense, we will see.

Also this is the longest lay off of his career so that is something to think about.

Oh, so you're telling me in his 53rd fight, THIS is the time where Canelo will finally not run out of gas :russ:

Fight will look exactly the same. Only difference will be the judges have that foot on their neck and won't fukk it up twice .
Basics...no trainer shakeup..no improvement with that struggle stamina
