I haven't watched the summer league games but I like the fact that he's showing a variety of skill in those highlights. I saw mostly dunks and layups in those Kentucky vids. Cal must've been holding him back.
I like what i see so far but im also reminding myself this is Summer Leagues so...

Breh we need Hayward to go anywhere but Boston so we can put that nail in ainge coffin :Ouuuuuuu:
Im hoping that too but there are two problems:
  1. I dont see a player of Hayward's caliber giving up his fifth year that easily which only Utah can provide
  2. If he decides to do a sign-and-trade, Utah might be more interested in Boston's assets than ours

I hate the waiting game but that's what we're stuck with right now

If we don't hear from Hayward by tomorrow afternoon we need to get rolling with plan B - lock in Dion, JJ + other FA's. He aint nobody to be waiting days on end for. The way the market going we might even be able to keep Willie
Exactly.

I'd hate for him to do us like Mo freakin' Williams did us in '07 when that clown made us wait and wait faking like he had interest only to get the Bucks to up the offer. I'm not blaming the man for going for his but we gotta have a plan to not pin our hopes on it too long to get burned

JJ already said a thousand times he wants to stay, James is a lock at this point. Hayward>Dion

So with that in mind, you wait for Gordon, even if he's not world's better than Waiters.
With the drafting of Bam, retaining Reed isn't a priority since the team currently has a backup big(Bam).

Reed would be veteran insurance if Whiteside was to miss time for whatever reason. And Hayward may be better than Dion but it's likely one or the other (barring sign and trade involving TJ/McThief) cant afford to miss out on both.

"Pat Riley, the Utah Jazz negotiating squad, Hayward and Waiters all happen to be in Southern California today, where face-to-face negotiations are a possibility."
