Watching these playoffs, one thing that is extra magical about Winslow (Word to @BloBama) is how well he handled himself in playoff atmosphere and tempo.

Wade and Rondo are showing how much vets can help bolster playoff teams with things like controlling tempo.

Winslow showed more balls and heart than this entire Celtics team (Sans IT who is a Whiteside-esque in his will to succeed and break through obstacles).

It's what we loved in McGruder and every dude on our team. We got heart. Even in our worst games, we always competed.

So the press conference assures that they will look to bring everyone back, that's not shocking. It's good that Pat seems high on Justice, him making a massive leap this coming season or next is much needed.

Winslow, at the least, is gonna be a piece like Draymond. He can anchor a perimeter defense, he'll never need the ball to be useful, and he has a knack for winning plays. His floor either be a great-tier complimentary piece (Draymond, Rodman, Wallace, Odom) or blossom into a star.

"I've been around guys like Justise Winslow before, his first year he's averaging 8 points a game, next few years he's averaging 25"

"He ain't going anywhere, I've read things about packaging him here and there, he ain't going anywhere"

"He's got something to prove and he'll prove it, we're glad to have him"

:gladbron::gladbron::gladbron::gladbron::gladbron::gladbron:
Aint no secret Spo and Riley love them some Winslow, they see the big picture. Hopefully all these dumb Heat fans shut the fukk up about trading him.

I wonder who here said something contrary to the bolded :mjpls:

We all know I'm very pessimistic, however I like Winslow and think he can be the things you/others said about him(floor :Good role player, ceiling:Prime Iggy/Batum). The problem is that we need him or someone else to become a franchise player, it's possible but it's very unlikely.

And that will remain the problem of the current roster. You think our team would get any respect from the refs in a series?

I still think Winslow could get to Igoudala level(which was my draft night comparison), but where did Igoudala ever lead anybody?

I don't care if I'm alone on here, I'm not happy 'til I start seeing moves that lead to a franchise player. Somehow we went from "winning or misery" to "we're happy just to be here" and I missed the memo.

Now we supposedly "like people in our range". We'll see I guess.

Whoever we draft we would've "had in the top 10 on our board" also :heh:

It's predictable..

Can't go from mocking the Hawks to wanting to be them.

how you go from dikkriding Wade in the playoff thread to constant misery in here is amazing. Maybe you would be happier rooting for another team, have you ever seriously considered that?

I dunno, breh. Chemistry accounts for a lot and I think we have the making of a competing squad, somewhere in this framework.

Prime Iggy on this squad would be ridiculous because we have a lot of really good parts that cover for other members weaknesses.

-We got guys who can create in isolation situations when the offense stagnates (Ala Kyrie or Wade) in Dion and even in James Johnson (Whiteside is also getting better at that)

-Dragic has shown himself to be a relatively consistent offensive anchor for the team but he's also willing to defer to guys like Dion or JJ when sets start breaking down. Honestly, if he was better defensively, he'd be almost untradeable, IMO.

We mostly lack playmakers and consistent offense when Dragic sits. Dragic is our guy who gets those easy buckets for us whether it be in transition or dump offs.

I'm not happy about our lameass pick as the payoff for this season because most of the dudes in that range are projects (Giles), one way players with good ceilings (Anuboby), or low ceiling players (Leaf, Kennard, etc) but who knows? Maybe something good will happen.

Well be fine guys...we will be fine...the don Riley said he wanted one more ring and he'd ride off on the yacht..the don will deliver

Eh, I think we're a year or two away from a ring. Honestly, I know the championship is the goal but the streak showed me that sometimes, just enjoying what we have on the court can be more fun than wondering what we need to do to be better.
